I recommend giving it a shot even at full price, considering it costs the same/less as a fast food burger as of the time of me writing this lol. Could have been one of the better games in the genre given the chance, but is still worth experiencing due to the art style/soundtrack. I understand the people that feel cheated, but I've paid much more for much less.

This game had so much potential, it's a real shame it was abandoned. Such a good game to chill out to after a day of work. I would still reccomend playing it, it's good for the first 20-30 hours until you run out of things to do.

I genuinely love Among Trees for its breathtaking atmosphere. Whenever I needed calm, this game felt like a comfort place — almost like a little meditation session. That said, it’s not “boring” or lacking excitement. When you run into natural dangers and survival moments, it absolutely gets tense — but even the tension feels strangely cozy, mixed with a nostalgic vibe. The whole experience is like stepping into a cute 3D animated world where you just enjoy being there. I finished it, and I already want to start over again. Maybe around this time next year — it feels like the kind of game you come back to when you need peace.

It's a very peaceful game, and it brings out the harshness of surviving in the woods. It's exactly what it says on the tin: You go into the woods, you build a quiet life away from all other humans, you can adopt a fox, learn to fish, everything is very intensive. My only major problem is there isn't a way to turn off the camera swaying as you walk, which makes me feel like I'm going to puke if I play this game for... basically any length of time. Which SUCKS, because I like it a lot, but even half an hour makes me wanna hurl. I'm pretty sensitive motion sickness wise, but it needs a toggle when I can handle V FREAKIN R better than this game that's supposed to be relaxing. Still worth it for anyone who doesn't have extreme motion sickness, though.
