Anomaly Exit is a solid “spot the differences” kind of game, except it also manages to keep you constantly tense, since you never really know whether one of these anomalies simply wants to scare you or commit a much more personal kind of crime. The game has two maps. The first one is definitely more polished, more tense, and much more focused on trying to kill you. The second one feels a bit rougher, maybe created to keep the hype alive after the success of the first map. Here, the anomalies are less noticeable, almost as if the developer wanted to offer you a free eye exam, and even the creatures you encounter seem much more peaceful. Despite the flaws of the second map, it is still a cheap and worthwhile title for a couple of hours of gameplay. Obviously, once you learn all the anomalies, replaying it starts to lose much of its purpose, but while it lasts, it works well.
A decent game for this genre. Still 2 levels as per this post. Some anomalies are janky, but good to have a laugh at, while some can make you ♥♥♥♥ your pants especially if you play with friends. Its a nice detail that the writing isnt what you should be looking at, but more so at other visual or auditory anomalies. Its refreshing to NOT have to remember every little text you find and I appreciate that. Overall, a good cheap game in which you can have a little scare+laugh combo.
