I've seen the sheer passion the dev has for this game, and I can't wait to see that passion manifest physically as this game develops. A lot of people have criticized it for what it is now but fail to consider what it may one day be. Archmage seems like a bottle of wine that's just been pressed and left in the cellar. I think once we pop the cork in a few years we'll be quite impressed with the taste.

I just want to say this game it is amazing, the dev clearly has a vision and I can see the passion even with my limited hours. As for you Dev please continue this project the game and idea behind it is incredible but take whatever time you need.

Great game. Positive: -Lots to do with many quests, conversations, building, dungeons, world map exploration, etc. -Hard to stop playing....one more dungeon. -Good music and fun graphics -All of the game mechanics are tight, easy to pick up and work well together. -Even when the combat seems a for sure thing you stay on edge as it's permadeath! Negative: (it's a WIP) -Combat is samey. Once you know the order of attacks to do all combinations of goblins, wolves, spiders, and crocs down down easy. Also more enemy variety is needed. -Quests are bit mundane and there are too many boring steps before going out to look for them. You have to get quest, then ask them about that item, then ask them where it is, the stumble around in that area until you find the marker. -Music can get under your skin as it repeats none stop (village!). -All the dungeons looks the same. One tileset so far. Needs WAY more variety. Why would wolves be in a castle/keep - though it is described as a cave on world map. Overall a lot of fun and great for the price. Look forward to more content/variety!

Really fun game! I mean it's still early access, but it's fun to play now. You can see where there's work being done and room for more events and such, combat to be a little more balanced and tweaked, but this is a really fun game. There's already more choices and room for independent decisions than most games you see IMO. I can't wait to see as more milestones are hit from the roadmap, and I can't imagine getting more value for my $15 or so. When the DLCs come out, if the Dev has delivered like they promised, I'll be happy to shell out another $20 or so for more content.

Understanding that this game is Early Access, take the following for what it is. I love the concept of this game. I'm really enjoying the game so far, which is about 20 hours investment at this time. There's a lot of depth. A lot of systems to explore. I really enjoy the story and lore. The gameplay is pretty fun. The only issues I have are what I think are to be expected in an early access game. * Performance issues: The UI system seems to have weird lag issues. When scrolling over options in dialog or other UI systems, there is a delay in being able to select something and then a delay in the execution. This has caused me to misclick on the wrong option or stack commands causing me to make a second click when I was thinking the first click wasn't registered. * A couple bugged quest options. NPCs deliver quest dialog but the are no options to choose to move forward. * UI issues: Scaling/formatting seems to be off in certain scenarios. Things are aligned properly. Scrolling through things can be absolutely atrocious. * A crazy thing... NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOOT from battles. WTF? How do you only get a few gold from every battle? How are there literally no loot drops from battles? * No dungeon completion summary: I'd love to see a summary when you complete a dungeon about the event. How many of each type of creature did you kill? What did you find/collect? How much exp did you get? That'd be fun. * Some quest tasks send, unnecessarily seemingly, crazy distances away, then you have to go all the way back. * When you ask NPCs for information, like where something can be found, there is no journal that records it. So if they tell you that something can be found 27 miles away in a certain direction, you have to remember that. A lot of the time you'll run into something else (a dungeon, a battle) on the way and forget. * There aren't really any quest markers on the map. It can be crazy difficult to find quest locations at times I think the game is super fun. It combines some great ideas and, I think, executes them pretty well for an early access game! I'm super stoked for the future development of this game.
