After the first couple of rounds you unlock the ability to run the rounds at 2x and 3x speed. This is needed in my opinion as the game runs too slow by default, I'd literally almost fall asleep while playing at the default 1x speed. But at the higher speeds the game is a great little Survivors/Bullet Hell-type experience. Milkstone always make high quality content, Ziggurat being my favourite series of theirs - and this isn't too far off of their usual mark. There's a lot to unlock here but the experience does seem a tad too slow and boring until things get going. Personal rating: 7.5/10 Recommended for new players to the these genres or if you just want something to play to chill out.
Its not a bad game by any means. It just falls into the "another vampire survivor clone" category for me. It does everything good, but nothing really unique about the game. ...But I already 100% Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, Death Must Die, Yet Another Zombie Survivors, and several others... So I went on to 100% this game too.
This is my favorite bullet heaven so far. Everything in the game is very polished and balanced and you can get very creative with the builds. It is straight to the point pure bullet heaven done really well. I have played megabonk, vampire survivors, Halls of Torment and Chuminis and this is my favorite in the genre so far.
Casual, minimally involved game that has a lot of chance in how each run will go. Game runs super smooth on a M4 MBA and has full controller support. Intuitive and easy to play. I wish a couple early rolls didn't decide how the whole run will play out- but sometimes you win because of random chance and sometimes you get crushed despite picking the best options available. Frustrating, but it comes with the genre. Honestly, a fun but fairly mindless way to relax. 8.5/10
