This game is a massive win for a solo developer project. Throwing five weapons into a gory, Doom-inspired bullet heaven is a brilliant move—it makes you actually think about your builds instead of just watching the screen.

As a massive fan of bullet hell roguelikes who is constantly chasing the high of Vampire Survivors and Brotato, Arms of God absolutely delivers even in Early Access. I ain't looking for a story, lore, voice acting, or high-end graphics. I just want to boot up a game, theorycraft a build, and watch the screen melt. This game scratches that exact itch perfectly. What makes it great: -Build Variety: For an Early Access title, there is more than enough variety to keep you experimenting for hours -Aesthetics & Sound: The well-designed levels and art style instantly reminds you of Doom and Diablo, backed by a heavy, testosterone-fueled soundtracks -The Upgrade System: I particularly loved the weapon upgrade loop during crusades. Being able to merge identical weapons and unlock unique traits is a brilliant and fresh departure from standard genre tropes -Balanced Progression: Passive upgrades feel impactful without being game-breaking (though I still have the pricier ones to grind for) Another fantastic Early Access gem from a solo developer that hopefully keeps this momentum going until full release. I’m all in!

In a world FULL of roguelike/Lite options, this one really stands out. The theme of the game is so refreshing from the typical blocky, cutesy games we get. Combat feels so good and difficulty of the game is punishing but not unfair. (aka dying to greed because i rolled into a cluster of souls). SO much meta game content, weapons and playable crusaders makes it fun and exciting. 10/10.

Im having a blast so far! Feels like a good amount of content for early access and well worth the asking price. Highly recommended. A couple features I'd like to see: Manual Aiming button. Right now you need to pause and toggle this in the game menu. Pretty essential feature. Mid fight we need to be able to hold or toggle right click (or any custom button) to engage manual aiming. I like the lazy mode of auto targeting, but occasionally there's a bone pile or something that needs manual priority, and I don't want to go into a menu to enable it. An undo button in the shop. I mistook a blessing for a singular weapon upgrade and messed up my build. Error on my part, and not a big deal, but it would be nice to have. It would have to be implemented that you couldn't undo a previous choice after a shop reroll.

Played through the first Act and already sold. It's Brotato set in the apocalypse with a holy templar vibe like Hellgate London. The gameplay is slick and speedy like YAZS. There are enough subobjectives on the stages to keep you moving. In early access but already enough meat here to give you plenty to dig in on. Easy purchase for anyone who is a fan of Bullet Heavens. Update after getting to Act IV. Calling it a Brotato clone is selling it short. There is a lot of choice and customization here that is much deeper than at first glance. Once you unlock the Crux mechanic it adds another level of risk/reward that adds a unique spin that I have not encountered in any other Survivor-like. I don't want to spoil it, but you'll understand why as soon as you start playing with the mechanic. I am upgrading this from "no brainer" to "must have" for any Bullet Heaven fan.
