The closest game we can get for Trench Crusade, a must buy for any aspiring Templar. Deus Vult! Also don't forget this two music tracks while playing this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICAy0Z_x42w&list=RDICAy0Z_x42w&start_radio=1 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWJzuC2IMNs&list=RDDWJzuC2IMNs&start_radio=1

Im having a blast so far! Feels like a good amount of content for early access and well worth the asking price. Highly recommended. A couple features I'd like to see: Manual Aiming button. Right now you need to pause and toggle this in the game menu. Pretty essential feature. Mid fight we need to be able to hold or toggle right click (or any custom button) to engage manual aiming. I like the lazy mode of auto targeting, but occasionally there's a bone pile or something that needs manual priority, and I don't want to go into a menu to enable it. An undo button in the shop. I mistook a blessing for a singular weapon upgrade and messed up my build. Error on my part, and not a big deal, but it would be nice to have. It would have to be implemented that you couldn't undo a previous choice after a shop reroll.

Arms of God feels like the gore-filled version of Brotato, and that's exactly what makes it so much fun. The fast-paced combat, endless waves of enemies, and satisfying progression create an addictive gameplay loop that keeps you coming back for more. The art style is also very nicely done, giving the game its own identity while perfectly complementing the brutal action on screen. If you're a fan of Brotato and want something darker, bloodier, and packed with chaotic action, Arms of God is definitely worth checking out. Played through the first Act and already sold. It's Brotato set in the apocalypse with a holy templar vibe like Hellgate London. The gameplay is slick and speedy like YAZS. There are enough subobjectives on the stages to keep you moving. In early access but already enough meat here to give you plenty to dig in on. Easy purchase for anyone who is a fan of Bullet Heavens. Update after getting to Act IV. Calling it a Brotato clone is selling it short. There is a lot of choice and customization here that is much deeper than at first glance. Once you unlock the Crux mechanic it adds another level of risk/reward that adds a unique spin that I have not encountered in any other Survivor-like. I don't want to spoil it, but you'll understand why as soon as you start playing with the mechanic. I am upgrading this from "no brainer" to "must have" for any Bullet Heaven fan.

TLDR: I love this game and I think that if you find the trailer appealing, you will too. If the dev never adds another thing to this game, it is worth the price right now, as is. There are so many systems and paths to customize your runs/avatar/loadout/play-style, that it already feels like a very rich experience. The combat & exploration are all handled with a thumbstick and a single button for interacting with special objects. The upgrades are a nice balance of give and take despite the interface you use to choose and apply those upgrades needing a bit of QoL polish. Hey, that's what early access is for, right? The game feels like a roomier arena-shooter like Brotato but is themed with the atmosphere of Hellgate: London, which, sadly, was the only thing good about that game. The movement is buttery smooth, the graphics and animations are evocative and fluid and the soundtrack rocks mightily. The sound of the weapons are more than serviceable and don't distract from the gameplay, but the ambient sound and those that ring out when you interact with different objects are just spot-on! Overall, I really enjoy this game, and was absolutely hooked BEFORE I beat the first act, but MAN, does this game open up after you hit that first milestone! No spoilers but there's a slick bit of rebuilding and recovery to spur you on to bigger and more violent crusades against the demonic onslaught. Time to spend a few pennies and punch in! Hell's not going to smite itself!
