Is Downloading 100 GB Every Update Really Necessary? Every time Battlefield 6 gets an update, it feels like we're downloading the entire game all over again. An update comes out, and suddenly I'm faced with a download of nearly **100 GB**. At this point, this isn't an update anymore — it's basically reinstalling the game. This is a serious problem when it comes to internet data usage, download times, and disk space. Forcing players to download dozens of gigabytes every single time for what should be patches, fixes, or relatively minor changes is simply unacceptable. A game's update shouldn't have to be almost as large as the game itself.** The file structure and update system seriously need to be optimized. Players want to play the game, not spend hours waiting for it to download after every update. Until this issue is properly addressed, having to deal with the same problem after every update is incredibly frustrating.
Could be a lot better. honestly its a good game with good mechanics, but coming from BFV, its just so lacking. it feels like some certain choices were overlooked. All I wanted was a modern battlefield, which we got, but like where are the engine upgrades for my black hawk? why cant I squad lock a vehicle? where are the squad reinforcements (artillery etc)?? I loved being on the same server as your enemies.. u know like you lose, they talk trash in the chat and you wanna smash them next game.. but that's just not possible with the server system in BF6. c'mon man bring battlefield back to battlefield.
Positives: - some good old battlefield chaos and fun - sounds and visuals are good - great new additions like vehicle remains staying on the map to act like cover and dragging wounded soldiers - weapon balance is great, no clear meta weapons, on forums you see people praising random weapons daily. Negatives: - maps are probably the worst in any BF game I've played. They are tiny yet have huge spawn protection areas, usually favor a specific side and all flags are clamped together. No levolution or amazing destruction either. - in 4.5 months after release there have been zero major balancing patches and this game desperately needs some. A lot of gadgets are useless, aerial vehicles are dominated by guided missiles and RPGs (which are clearly the best choice for a rocket launcher and it's not even close), sniping is too easy with auto range finder and no suppression - rate of adding new content has been very slow too. - in a $70 game you get ads to spend extra money on every launch. Buy skins, buy battlepass, buy BF PRO (wtf is that) - either desync or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ net code - you need insane amount of time to unlock good attachments for a weapon - no server browser and portal was dead on arrival - suppressors are mandatory because you are autospotted when you fire a gun without one. And due to poor visibility I'd say thermal optics are necessary as well. They are also OP as hell with no drawbacks compared to other sights. Recommended if: - you buy it on sale - you don't spend an extra cent on anything in game (skins or battlepass) - you can ignore challenges (tons of people suffer from FOMO and play game modes they hate just to get some pixels in a game they'll forget in a year and complain about their lack of discipline) - you believe they can only improve going forward
