If you take the time to learn the complexities of the upgrade system, it’s a real gem. Also no AI bs, which is nice given the dev’s track record (fuck Bioweaver)

An interesting Survivors-like, although its main gimmick is the only unique stuff it does. Goes for the Brotato approach, no pseudo progress, lots of unique characters to unlock. The main gimmick is that weapons work with a linear programming logic. Activate weapon A every X seconds with Y power. Which then you can link to weapon B with an item that activates weapon B every time weapon A gets a kill or hits an enemy, with varying power, as an example. There are weapons that trigger depending on time, depending on charges, that creates damage zones, that spawns creatures, that shoots bullets, that creates lasers between enemies with a certain condition, along a lot more. You have a limit on how many items you can have. You can have several "brains" that work as weapon lots, and each brain has its own capacity that limits how many items you can link. Some items branch from 1 to 4 lines, so you can have one brain activating 4 weapons, or one weapon having several sequential attacks. Gets pretty crazy depending of what you link and the builds are pretty fun. There are no permanent upgrades, you can spend money between waves to upgrade some stats, but they return to zero when you start a new game.
