I aint put much time in this game yet, and I aint care. I came in cause im a sucker for red heads and pony tails: I am sticking around because im an even bigger sucker for this amazing combat system. I read other reviews praising it, but I was not prepared for how good it really is. Its like a proper fighting game mixed with a souls game and it just hits right. The dialogue is honestly janky as all git, but still somewhat understandable. The music so far does not stand out, but I am fully and unequivocally enamored with the combat system and how simple yet complicated I want it to be, Smash that r1 button gets the same results as gojng ham and gettin that SSS style ranking and it is great. Blazing Aries is totally worth the time I have put and will put into it and I am stoked as can be for what fancy moves, combos, and weapon skills I can mix and match for the best pimp slappin combos my tiny brain hole can make.
Honestly, this game's combat feels very solid it reminds me of the Tales of series and other JRPGs. It gives me a sense of nostalgia because how similar the gameplay feels like from childhood games from the PSP, Gameboy, PS4, Wii, and DS era. Specifically Action 2D Games or Action 3D Games that feels more like 2D Game Engine. It also kind of reminds me of the Wii Game that is like a 2D Adventure with the playable character being a ninja or kunoichi. It was a long time ago. I do have the patch and the context does make sense in the very first cutscene. The story is very enjoyable right now but I am still in the beginning of the game.
What an exceptional action RPG. Combat system is frenetic and stylish and a lot of fun. You could pull off some sick sequences. The H-content is serviceable, and I like how the naughtiness is related to the story. The story by the way is well-told, all things considered. A classic save-the-world yarn starring an impressionable chosen one on some derring-do. The cast of characters accompanying and antagonizing our heroine is honestly pretty varied and memorable. I felt them pretty compelling. I say all of this despite of the god-awful translation. And the translation sucks a lot. It's bad, man. I think it's been put through some machine translation and it's not at all natural. With that said, IF you can stomach it (and admittedly it is a big IF), you'll be pleasantly surprised with this game.
