Dont trust the tutorial and the first hours; This game has a lot of depths and is a very brilliant and original take on the genre. You wont have a huge number of cards, and the fact that you can only move forward/backward on a rail could make you think the gameplay is pretty bland but thats a HUGE mistake. All the cards are meaningfull and the game is more about moving ennemies around than moving yourself. Trust me, if you like deckbuilding and tactical games, you'll love this one. This one really came from nowhere for me and I m really glad I tried it.

My thoughts after clearing up to fog 3. +Trains +Trains with guns +Good train customizability +Easy to get into +Pretty satisfying to kill a lot of enemies at once +simple but appealing visuals +nice lore and flavor texts for a bunch of things +feels nice once your deck finally becomes overpowered -quite lacking in content I've played early access roguelikes with way more stuff than this -gameplay loop lacks variety -combat does not really have enough depth Overall it's a good game.

Accidentally destroyed my locomotive with a first aid kit. Still got so many unlocks for the next run. Oh well, let's go again! PS! Plays beautifully on Steam Deck!

Very happy with this game. Having your deck defined by the cars you assemble your train out of makes for a nice twist on the deckbuilder genre, and the game makes good use of its tactical grid for movement abilities. Animations and art are polished and fun, all in all extremely satisfied with my purchase!

I just finished my first run on the full game. Despite dying, it is a fun, engaging, fresh take on deckbuilding. Your deck is dependent on the types of carriages, locomotive and driver that you select with options to further modify your cards using card modification rewards which can lead some very interesting upgrades, making your deck extremely powerful and satisfying. I personally really enjoy lobbing the enemies off the cliffs and ramming them with the train. It is extremely enjoyable when you manage to line everything up just right to get chain-reaction kills – it hits the dopamine receptors just the right way. Can’t wait to unlock more content and some of the funky cool carriages. Excited for the UFO carriage. You can tell that the devs had some mighty good fun putting this together. Soundtrack is also worth mentioning. There are some really cool riffs playing in just the right places. Somebody certainly took the time and effort to make it all come together nicely. Plus, the horn button. PUSH THE HORN BUTTON!
