Positives: You can roleplay as a mecha anime protagonist. No, really. There's enough lore entries and cool enemy designs that you could genuinely do that. There is an insane amount of customisation options. If you can think of it, you could probably do it. Customisation is meaningful. Every part that isn’t a joint adds weight and other stats to your mech. Even little things like the direction of your thrusters matters. Stage choices and existing presets provide good encouragement and inspiration for builds. I burnt several hours of my life on adjusting the animations of my mech's wings. I enjoyed every part of it because each detail I added made them cooler. They're currently at a state I'd call "very cool" but I'm also not getting those hours of my life back. Potentially a negative. The feeling of "speed" is incredible. It's hard to say exactly what makes it feel good but I think the dev just nailed the feeling of going fast. They even encourage it by making you go even faster if you start to overheat. Negatives: Almost turned my PC into a single use jet engine. Not sure what exactly is bottlenecking but if you have a weaker setup, you’ll need to drop the settings heavily. But at least the game still looks pretty great at minimum settings. No story. I'm not personally complaining, it's not like every game needs a story or anything but the most storytelling this game does is lore entries. Fun for building your own story, not great if you want a 100 hour epic ending with your love interest rival's last words being "she could have been a mother to me". Clunky controls. Part of it is just that using turning thrusters and avoiding going too far overweight are necessary if you don't want to feel like you're driving an anvil with legs. The other part is that the camera like to unlock itself from your target. It's probably intentional since it gives an advantage to fast and evasive builds but it can be a deal breaker. Horrible "assist" features like autofiring. They are all genuinely terrible and should all be turned off. This includes the one that makes building your mech simpler. It just removes the fun of balancing your stats. Limited stage variety. There's only about a dozen or so stages including night-time variants. They're also all "real world" stages like the coast or an open plain or a desert valley. There isn't anything more interesting like urban arenas with a lot of cover or like the racecourses in BA2. Overall: It's a bit difficult for me to properly rate this game because I'm pretty sure I'm the exact target audience and the target audience is not very large. But I'll write this: This game is not a robot fighting or robot racing game. This game is a mecha design and customisation game. The core point and purpose of the entire game is just to be able to have as much freedom in making a cool ass mech as possible. There's even a diorama option. The stages are just a way to show off your design in action. They're a way to gauge performance and inspire further changes. For me, they simply aren't the point of the game. If you think you're the target audience (the type to drool over gunpla articulation) then I think it's worth giving a try. If you just want to play Titanfall 2 with only the titans, probably pick up or replay Armored Core 6. It's an 11/10 if it scratches your specific fixations. If it doesn't, it's probably only a 5 or 6/10

There’s a threshold that veteran Nelson pilots know well: the point of endless momentum. You get moving fast enough in the right atmosphere and the air itself feeds into auxiliary ports on the chassis, screaming out like a demon’s almighty howl. The point of endless momentum is a giant’s hand on your chest and a god’s chariot under your feet. Makes you feel like you can outrun light itself, as long as you don’t pass out first.

The best mech game made for no one. imagine going to a brazillian Barbequeue and they´re like ummm yea we got the best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meat in the world, but you gotta eat it sideways while playing mesopotanian testicle tag with chopsticks i love the customization and mechbuilding, but when it comes to the actual playing of the game its very mild. races and combat are cool, but these two dont mesh together. after twenty or so hours, when you realize that this is all there is to it, youll either keep playing it for the cool customization or stop playing from how repetitive and undiversified the "actual" gameplay moments are. Recommend if youre into the building, but dont expect much else other than that and the cool presentation.

Ah BREAK ARTS, quite a unique and crazy concept but also very flawed. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3572972343 BREAK ARTS III is pretty fun for the racing part, controls are fine even though it will require a lot of time to master them. I'm not really a big fan of the aerial controls or how we have to stand still to gain elevation though. There's no doubt this game delivers in terms of racing at insanely fast speed ! I wish there was more pure racing events without any combat involved at all. Unfortunately the combat is kinda bad to be honest, it's quite a mess. I really don't like it, the lock-on system sucks big time here. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3572973445 There's an amazing customization hangar but it's quite complicated to use. You can create some pretty cool looking mechs if that's your thing. The graphics looks pretty good, although there's some issues with lighting in certain maps. I had stutters when playing the game for the first time but now it's smooth as butter. I do play on a very powerful PC though so your mileage may vary performances wise, I heard a lot of people complaining about bad optimization. BREAK ARTS III is quite a niche game but I think it's worth checking out if you like the idea of zooming around with your custom mech at blazing fast speed. Just don't expect a very satisfying or engaging combat system, you'll be disappointed, tracks designs are also hit or miss, some are great and others are kinda poorly designed. A custom track editor and workshop to share designs with other players would be a great addition to the game. I hope they add those features in the upcoming months. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3572975514 Rating 6/10.

It's a good game. I think, if you're considering playing BREAK ARTS 3, you should be prepared for about 70% of mech building, 15% of mech battle and 15% of racing. 1. The mech building part is almost perfect: I dislike that it can't go below 50% drive speed, i think 15% / 25% are better, because you have battle mode now, so at times firepower and armor are more important than speed. If there's optimization problem then again, limit this to single player like you did in BA2. Diorama mode needs more poses, OR you can let us control the rigs directly for freely posing our Art. Other than these, your mech building is definitely No.1. 2. The mech piloting part is good but has some problems: Sometimes, the weapon wielding arm would point towards elsewhere other than the target, and cannot fire even when locked on to target. Sometimes, the mech would slowly flip and lose control in midair. Sometimes, if it's my misunderstanding, please correct me, but i feel like when controlling my mech, the leaning and actions of the mech seem to affect the direction of thrusters and make boosting weird to control. I can tweak the angle of the thrusters to accommodate, so not a fatal problem. 3. Maps are mostly fine, but there's a really bad one: I can stay on the track and maintain speed in most of the maps, which is good. I like the SPEED. But! I think it's called "Sea Of Clouds", that map is the worst. It doesn't even have a road, and this is NOT a flying game, we can't do downward maneuvers where we need to. And to go upward, we need to stop pressing directional keys WHICH stops us from going forward, DURING RACE. I mean like, WHAT THE HECK? A small elevation difference is okay, but a WHOLE map of it in a game where you can't actually fly? i think it's unreasonable. And there are mech parts locked behind this map's race, and i'm honestly frustrated because of this. Well, i think that's what i have so far. The game definitely worth the price so do go ahead and try it yourself.
