Very good anomaly hunt that takes the best from several games. As good, but different feel, compared to ex. "Ten Bells". Strong recommendation for casual players, couples, horror fans, and so on. It is very pretty, fun, and the devs crafted the horror extremely well, masterfully really. For example: I'm barely able, from terror, just to navigate the kitchen in the game. The suspense of the many dark corners, and your lamp playing tricks with the shadows is more than enough to make me inch passed it, looking at my feet, facing the wall. A proper jump scare, damn, even a "friendly hello" in there would make me shit so hard my pants would come flying off. Go see for yourself, it's the absolute worst. -- Explore your home, transformed into a prison. Find and categorize anomalies in an endless loop until you have enough to break the cycle and - leave? Careful, investigations drain battery from your camera, and its light, your only light, no matter if your investigations are correct or not. Sometimes batteries can be found, in some hallways. Very scarce thou, and your mental health is always dwindling, in the dark, as you scurry for the strange, the light, and the exit, always in the dark. Sometimes the things find you, sometimes you outsmart them, ends the same either way - with the the hallway, repeating, in the dark.

Was that Bench always there? Who the hell are you? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? This room wasn't like that before... STAY AWAY FROM ME MR. BLUE (da ba de da ba da) I didn't expect to like this game as much as I do. I very much look forward to the second one coming out. It handles real well, and the threats keep you on your toes. An anomaly seeking game where you go through the same loop of a home over and over again and see if you can reach the goal (or however far you'd want in Insane mode) Anything that isn't the regular is an ANOMALY! Anywhere from a misplaced bicycle, any sources of running water, to a secret cult meeting of Toilets. There are many more to be found as you try to survive in this Camera horror game. Each threat in the game require something for you to do in order to deal with it. Whether you must simply look away, lock yourself in a room. or turn off your light. If unluckier than normal you'll have to deal with everyone's favorite demon rabbit Carroterra!

A terrifying masterpiece Let's get one thing out of the way; I am a scaredy-cat when it comes to horrr games. Alien: Isolation is about as much as I can take for a full-length scary game. When it comes to shorter scary games, I'm an avid fan on the genre. Having recently played through Pools and The Exit 8, I eagerly bought Captured and set about exploring. This game is scary. The game sees you exploring a seemingly endless loop, going through a desolate, darkened house in search of anomalies. The gameplay consists of your character finding and categorizing these anomalies. Depending on difficulty, there are also entities to avoid and escape from. Finding anomalies is very fun, if very nerve-wrecking, and the entities are terrifying. The game offers a lot in the way of exploration, despite taking place entirely within a house (or does it?). I would for sure recommend this if you're a fan of Pools, The Exit 8, Backrroms games, or the even more newly released The Cabin Factory. Don't take that to mean that Captured is a pale imitation of any of those though. It brings a lot of fun things to the table and might be the best out of all the games mentioned. As a certified scaredy-cat, I also appreciate the possibility to play in peaceful mode, just hunting anomalies without the entities. A definitie must-buy! Oh, and it plays wonderfully on my Steam Deck. it should definitely be Verified status in my opinion!

Great game with heaps of potential. Main issue with the game is with some of the optimisation and the yellow entity's ai being buggy and iffy.

Hidden gem when it comes to anomaly finders and horror games, excelling heavily in its atmosphere and scares. The cartoonish yet horrifying entities make for a fun but nerve-racking obstacle as you make your way through a constant loop inside your house where things that were once normal, may no longer be as you once saw them. Short but sweet with lots of potential to be much larger than it is, 10/10 would play again.
