I wish Steam had a neutral rating option, because this game would be a perfect candidate. The atmosphere was great, and the story seemed intriguing at first. Unfortunately, the ending was rather disappointing, and the experience felt unnecessarily drawn out, even on a first playthrough. Far too much time was spent simply running back and forth, making the pacing increasingly tedious. Ultimately, it left me feeling rather underwhelmed. Not bad enough for a negative review, but not quite deserving of a recommendation either.
What a great game, i really enjoyed it. Recommended and worth it. The story was really good, you could feel the tension and the confusion. Graphics are really nice and the area isn't too big, which i liked. There were a few jumpscares, overall very fun to play for a horror lover like myself. Easy 100% achievements as well. The only thing i thought was out of place/distracting was the voice acting of Sam. Didn't hear much emotion in her voice or it felt out of place? The conversations felt unnatural because of it. Alex was great though! I got it on sale, as i do most my games, but even full price i think it's worth it!
Psych is a rare horror title that prioritizes psychological depth and sustained suspense over quick thrills. If you are looking for a game that will test your nerves and make you second-guess every shadow in your own hallway, Psych is an absolute must-play. Rating: 10/10 — A haunting, brilliantly crafted descent into madness.
