You think it's some sort of idler, but really, it's just an application to help you to ease into middle age.

It's been a while since I last actually chilled playing a game and never regretted it. Or maybe I'm just growing old. Doesn't matter anyway. Aight imma cast my ol' maple rod.

I'm a budget gamer, I value my time vs what i'm able to spend which is rarely much, and reading some other reviews and seeing price being such big focus. I get it, I do, I rarely have the budget to buy games and I've been fortunate to be a part of a very generous group of friends or back in the day Humble Bundle or Game Pass, Epic etc etc. A LOT of free to play games. This I bought for myself. I bought it the moment I saw the trailer. Best $20 AUD I've spent on myself in a long time. The Graphics, Stunning and Beautiful, but playful. The Mechanics, whilst not exactly hand holding, it's rather intuitive, far from taxing and still somehow engaging. Especially when chasing trophies or just exploring new fish and working out what works, where they are, the time of day they might feed (unsure if that is a mechanic, however I've seen fish ignore their preferred bait until the evening etc. I could be imagining it) The Fish Diversity, For the current state of the game, As someone who doesn't have an exceptional amount of time to play games there's a lot to do and it doesn't feel overwhelming. I'm expecting this to potentially include other interpretations of other places around the world.. Id absolutely love to see this game show off Australia or anywhere in Europe. Even Ocean. it would be sick to be landing Flatties or Bream or Mullet, Barramundi... SHARKS. The Idle, I'm not a massive fan of idlers, Rev Idle being my last dabble. but this just hits different, its basically no commitment if you just want it to Idle. wonderfully enough this game managed to really hit the mark, it captures what I imagine fishing is actually like to those who dream of peaceful moments in between their catches in the boat with mates or alone. This game in my opinion manages to really hit the point between immersion, background or casually picking it up occasionally. if this game continues to grow and do the things it does. I'll play this for a very long time, I'll try to 100 the Achievements. It make sense if this isn't your thing and fair call. but as someone who usually questions what i'd spend on something purely because of budget, this has been well worth my dollar and more importantly, my time. Pay the man at the counter, He tells good stories.

My recently widowed 55yr Mother-in-Law, a couple of weeks ago, received a diagnosis of around a 10% 90-day mortality rate. She’s been wanting to go fishing while she can, but she has a lot of fatigue and concerns that make that difficult or impossible. I’ve been waiting for this game for her since seeing its demo. I bought it as soon as I saw it was available, figuring it would be good at least on the go for long Dr appointments or upcoming hospital stays. She’s also been taking a liking to our house cats — She said she’d have loved a Maine coon if she could have had one in her life. I saw the supporter DLC and had to have it for her (I usually don’t grab stuff like this, but the coincidence made it impossible to pass up). She’s absolutely loved it. She hasn’t played games in decades, since Mario brothers. It’s really helping her mind’s sharpness. She’s been so happy and excited with all of the different fishing options, fish types, the pretty pixel art that she’s never really seen before. It’s gorgeous art and day/night cycles, too! (I haven’t played that much myself for a review from me personally). She’s gonna be playing more soon! She’s hooked (ha-ha). The dev(s) have made her so very happy with this product. Thank you. The memories made here are priceless, and the starting value (with initial discount) an incredible deal.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to Cast n Chill, and he'll chill for a lifetime. Beautiful art, a relaxed atmosphere, and gameplay that's engaging with the option to idle n chill. It feels like you're fishing inside of a Bierstadt painting. The amount of work it must've taken to add this much detail both above and below the water is incredible. It's relaxing to watch day turn to night and get lost in the pixels. I've been playing since the demo came out last month and the devs clearly listened to the feedback. You can tell a lot of love went into this game and it's well worth your time.
