A fun little gem that absolutely would have been a smash hit in the era of free to play flash games. I enjoyed my time with Chef Knight. My only two quibbles are: 1) A little too much time is spent stuck on lvl 1, floor 1. It takes 5+ attempts at the floor to gather enough resources to progress and after the third attempt I was wondering if this was all the game had to offer. Once that hurdle was passed though the sense of progression was much improved. 2) At the end of the game as much as it feels great to be obliterating the hoards of creatures surrounding you their sheer number made it a little difficult to see the player character. I would lose track of the knight on the screen until I activated the spatula special. Not a big issue since you'll be so upgraded that getting a hit a few times by falling rocks isn't a problem. It just would be nice to see the chef more clearly. So besides some minor gripes at the very beginning and very end of this game, it felt perfect for what it is trying to do.
WARNING - It's a VERY short game. 3 hours max if you're not messing around. Otherwise it's a fine game. I got it on sale and that seems fair. A visual nightmare at the later levels makes it basically impossible to see your aiming cone or mouse, but otherwise pretty good looks.
