Just picked this up as I'm about to travel and wanted to try this on the steamdeck. It's made for it! Took me a while to work out the mechanics.... You don't play for the coins you drop (and are alreay in the machine), you play for the larger chips. Once you understand that you can decide which areas of the drops to target etc. Otherwise it's just mindless coin dropping. You then get rewarded the coins that drop as more "ammunition" to push back through the machine without eating into your "winnings". The chips are stored and become credits when you cash out, in order to purchase "custom coins" and perks etc from the main menu. The ability to choose your national coin is a nice touch. I am used to seeing these machines with either UK 2p or UK 10p and seeing them rendered in the this game I can almost smell the burgers and fairy floss of the Arcades! 10/10 - Would absolutely play this until my streamdeck warned me about 5% battery again.
This game is truly top tier on all fronts. Recently I've thrown in on in the background for the music, and get the added benefit of racking up coins while I'm at it. While other concerning negative reviews are valid, everyone makes mistakes. It doesn't change that this game is truly great.
Very addictive game. But, when you get stuck at level 17 on zen, at level 7 on classic, and at level 1 on arcade. And you can't pass those tables after more than 10 tries, you wonder why game devs do that. I get it, some ppl like challenge. I don't. I want a time waster, where i can access all tables and just have fun. Having to unlock stuff, that is extremely complicated .. should be called zen. If i wanted challenge i d go for a souls game or so ... Give more time, give more chip, give more point. Make it easy to unlock, difficult to beat records ... Will give it a thumbs up, but it should be a "meh"
I'll be honest. When I bought this game, I had my doubts. When I first played, I played with skepticism. But I like the different types of coin pushers. The object is to turn a profit before advancing to the next stage. The way that is achieved is by causing chips in different denominations, silver bars, gold bars, & cash to fall into the drop slot at the bottom center of the screen. If you're not careful, items can fall into the holes on the bottom left & right side of the screen. Once something falls into these, you lose the chance to get them to drop. There are other items you can get, but they can be difficult to get, especially if they are on the sides. Sometimes they can seem out of reach. Overall, its not a bad game. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this game a 7.5.
