I fully expected this game to be irritating and nitpicky; a game where you need exactly one building but never see it. Or a game where you have to think through every little building to find the perfect spot. This game was very well made. For that same reason it isn't nitpicky at all. It's intuitive to find the best spot for a building and, most importantly, you build out your little island **organically**. Every addition feel good to add on. Even when you didn't get exactly what you wanted, you usually get something pretty good... or even get something that expand your idea of where you want your town to go. The effort in developing out the feel and pace of the game was well worth every ounce of time spent. It's relaxing, yet juicy. You can get a naturally forming forest around your hunters guilds or build out an intricate farming network with aqueducts. That's another thing, the heirlooms (artifacts) are great to allow you to adapt or double down on a combo you want to pull off. The factions are also distinct and feel different; you can combine two, so I feel that there is a lot of replay-ability. TLDR; Destroyed my negative expectations with an iron hammer. Great game.

Imagine a euro style board game crossed with Balatro combo style scoring. If that sounds fun to you I highly recommend this game.

This just scratches an itch. A very enjoyable city building rougelike. This isn't to say that there isn't a ton to unlock, but I would happily pay for DLC if the developers would add more, very much enjoying this!

Fun bitesized game, with pleasant artstyle and satisfying gameplay that requires thinking about placement, space optimization and synergies. There's a fair amount of meta progression, with lots of stuff to unlock. So the game feels fresh between runs. Especially due to a variety of combinations of guilds you can chose from, and different starting conditions depending on map generation. My only complaint is that there's only one track for the entire game, outside of main menu. And even then it's a pretty short loop. I wouldn't call it highly repetitive per se, but it would've been nice to have at least several music tracks so it won't get annoying after playing for a while.
