Corpse Keeper is a fun and weird game. I didn't really understand it at first, but after one or two rounds I got the gist of the corpse maintenance and crafting. The combat probably allows for skill and finesse, but I've never been one for fighting games like this, so I mainly button-mashed. If I were a fighting game fan, I'd probably play this a lot more. As it is, it was still a cool experience. Unique features make this game stand out from most others. Killing enemies sometimes unlocks a random attack modifier that can fit in the first, second, or third slot in your attack combo, allowing for wide customization of attack based on range, power, speed and other factors. Corpse decay and building new bodies to control also allow for customization and randomization in the quality of your fighters. The Steamdeck runs a little hot while playing it, but otherwise I didn't have any issues.

The *CLANG!* of the enemies weapon against mine fuels my will to fight. The fluidity of dodging and parrying is difficult to master, like it is in most games, but the main character energy I get when I time them perfectly is a great source of dopamine. Try not to feel discouraged early on, it takes a little bit of time to progress but when you get there, this game really shines, I was close to refunding it at 98 mins of play time, Glad I didn't. Great Game you have here Dev!

This is one of the best indie games I have played in a LONG time. A unique, gripping experience that is only made all the more satisfying with its stylish and easy to learn/difficult to master combat mechanics. Its like if FromSoft and Platinum got together and made a rougelike. Buy it. Play it. Show these devs some love. Play it again.

I enjoy this dungeon crawling, side profile hack n slash rogue like. It's a lot of fun and something I really greatly enjoy for a difficult but fun experience
