Held off on this one for awhile. Had it in my library forever before I eventually touched it. As a big fan of puzzle games I had anticipated greatness from this one and I think a part of me almost wanted to savor it in a way. I have not been disappointed. This is a fantastic puzzle game with so much charm. The gameplay is very elegant in its simplicity yet manages to offer peak problem solving and critical thinking. Particularly the later levels. You've got to love how the late game in these aesthetically cutesy puzzle games always to turns into sheer maniacal laughter in terms of difficulty. I've reached the final few levels after several weeks of off and on play and am determined to complete it 100% without a guide. Biggest tip I can give is if you're having trouble, try a different level or come back later. IDK what it is but I've repeatedly been stuck, spending long times staring at a single puzzle, only to give up and complete it within 5 minutes the next day.

A very fine puzzle game. The first half of the game is challenging but possible to solve quite quickly through trial and error. I come back and mull over the difficult ones, slowly chipping away at it.

What a gem. It's difficult to do simple puzzles well, and this game does simple puzzles well. This game gives you everything you need to succeed. There's no random chance and no hidden information. Everything is completely fair. And that, more than anything, is what's going to make you want to throw your mouse / laptop / phone out the window when you get stuck on some of these levels.

The gameplay is extremely simple, you just draw a single rail. However, the game is surprisingly challenging. I've had many moments when I thought "this level is impossible, I've tried everything", only for it to finally click. At some point, levels becomes to complex to figure the whole solution in your head and you have to try something, fail, and try again. At the very end (Nova 7's), it becomes more frustrating than fun in my opinion, but Cosmic Express is still very much worth it if you're into hard puzzle games. I just wished the game was more optimized for controllers & Steam Deck. It's playable, but a few tweaks could have gone a long way.
