I would highly recommend to any 25+ years old man who wants to relief stress by stressing himself over furiously right clicking on some god damn pixels. All jokes aside a great and solid game, very straightforward but has a decent amount of depth to it. For me this hits all of the nostalgia checkpoints as I played other versions of this with my father 15-20 years ago. The game has casual graphics quality but has an overwhelming amount of beautiful and diverse designs for all of its nations and is perfect for people generally interested in history and more particularly Europe in the early renaissance. Start slowly and look up stuff once you find something too dificult.

I have to say, discovering Cossacks was like rewinding time back to childhood. Here's a game that has all the trimming a grown boy needs: A bunch of colorful and historically accurate powers of the gunpowder-era Europe, just before all those pesky 1848 revolutions. A sense of romance and violence blended nicely together. Ore mining, farming, OCD hoarding. Cannon, ships, muskets! Even drums to keep them marching infantry all in pace like.

Love the mechanic to be able to quickly conquer some buildings and peons. this change the dynamic of combat and base defense. Hope to see a Cossack 4 someday ... don't need no fancy graphics, just good a game and playability. Need work on map generation and diversity. ( * EDIT ) Maybe rework the bonus for nations and info accessibility ?

This game took me back to my childhood, honestly! I played the first Cosacks games with my dad, and was terribly happy when I was able to buy Cossacks 3. Thank you for existing Cossack 3 ♥
