I'll be clear immediately: I'm a very casual fan of this series. I really don't care for Counter-Strike 2, how it outright replaced CSGO, how it essentially killed CSGO's casual content (all custom and most official), and its seemingly even further hardlined esports direction. I don't exactly enjoy the playerbase """communication""" in this series either, so there's basically no incentive for me to bother at this point. So then, somehow, Condition Zero has stood the test of time even though infamously nobody cared about it. It stands up just because it simply has by far the best singleplayer offerings in the series. This is the only entry to have an Unreal Tournament style singleplayer (Tour of Duty) where you'll be given a checklist of normal bot matches with multiple challenges to complete in order to win per match. The bots could be better (it should be noted though the bots use "voice chat" to communicate what they're doing and planning, which you can also use chat commands to somewhat influence them too) but this mode turned out to be a very respectable way of keeping the series alive for me. There's a bunch of mission pack mods to extend the playtime of Tour of Duty too, so it massively adds value to Condition Zero. Bizarrely too it contains a proper traditional singleplayer campaign via a series of singleplayer missions via "Deleted Scenes"; mildly comparable to Half-Life (only because Deleted Scenes plays much more like as if it's just another Half-Life expansion pack, rather than being true Counter-Strike). I'm not even going to pretend your time isn't probably much better spent on just playing the entire Half-Life collection or the Tour of Duty mode instead, but it does exist. Of course there's multiplayer too, but nobody's playing it. It does seem to have benefited from HL1's anniversary update, so it doesn't look like it would take much to run a server for friends at least. I recommend this one just for the fact it's the most reasonable game for singleplayer in the series, even if you don't care about Deleted Scenes.

One of the only old games made by valve that supports both AI play and multiplayer, I recommend this!

A modified version of CS 1.6 with a single-player campaign. The bots are smarter, but overall, the game didn’t bring significant changes. Feels more like an experiment rather than a true sequel.

I would recommend this game to everyone like me without friend :( ..... Its a really simple shooting game but singleplayer .... I love this kinds of games... One annoying thing about it is when i die to a bot have to wait the whole game... Thankfully i found i way to get hat off your mind... When u die u just press the button above tab (aka "`" button) and type in the terminal : bot_kill ........ Have FUN! (totally recommended)

Personally i like the idea of Counter Strike being a single player experience better than it being multiplayer i had way more fun playing through by my own than getting obliterated by Hackers and Smurfs in CSGO this game is basically the half life experience in counter strike form sort of i genuinely suggest getting this game over CSGO or any other counter strike games.
