Devs don't deserve this slander, they made a great game that is very obviously not 'ai slop'. Shame on y'all.
Only and I mean ONLY downside to this game is that there's not enough levels to play. I would love to see a community creation page similar to that of house flipper 2 - keep the game fresh with new levels to play while we await DLC's and new main-game additions. LOVEEEEE this gameee.
Leaving a positive review because idiots keep accusing this game of being AI slop or some variation of that insult. While the game does sometimes give heavy "unity game" vibes, it has extremely creative levels, mechanics and gameplay that means that those issues are barely relevant. I have not played Act 2 yet but Act 1 and the free updates that came out afterwards makes this game worth the price, and I will be buying Biohazard when it comes out. Support smaller studios, and the next time you want to complain about AI, email Sam Altman or the Pentagon about AI weapons killing people and the planet, rather than going after creative projects which don't use them at all.
The game is great for sim lovers and for people who love a creepy vibe but are also wimps about horror and jumpscares (like me). The cleaning mechanics are in depth and satisfying, and the gameplay just feels good - movements have the right amount of weight to them and the visuals and sound effects make the experience immersive, which is so important for a good sim imo. The voice acting is great and while the story isn't exactly groundbreaking, it is present throughout the game. Each map took me 1-2hrs to get 100% so is great to play while listening to a podcast and zoning out. While the spooky elements are there and there's obviously a lot of blood, for people who might struggle with excess gore and jumpscares there is none of that - there are some heavy story elements though so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing I would advise looking up some trigger warnings. The only thing in the whole game I was disappointed by was when we finally saw a photo of the big bad guy we'd been hearing from all game - you can't convince me that that flat cap wearing, well moisturised little fella is guilty of anything except a healthy love of IPAs. The amount of free content that has been added since launch has more than doubled the base game content and while I believe the free updates are now finished, in this day and age it's nice to get anything at all for free. I am looking forward to the DLC!
THE best cleaning game. Tools feel just right. Locations are quite deliberate with their over-the-top mess and are neatly tied into story narrative. The main character has his own personality (as deep as a cleaning game would allow anyway) and occasionally references some things or does dad jokes, but this all doesn't feel on the nose either. Huge recommend if you like (or are curious about) the genre and want something to relax after a long day factory.
