The game is just pure fast paced action fun, and COOP is a blast. Yes it is currently unbalanced at harder difficulties, yes there is some jank, but aren't you expecting exactly that when you buy an EARLY ACCESS game? To help the devs creating a full fledge experience on the long term? To everyone posting a negative review on how the game is unbalanced, jank, or lacking features and mechanics, well... The game is just beginning Early Access, so instead of giving the game a negative review because you guys still don't understand what EA means, go to the devs DIscord and give them your feedback. Now, my current feelings about the game: -Movements are fast, dash and double jumps are so good to dance around the numerous creatures. -Melee feels impactful and powerful, and parry works well, even if for the later I would like some more satisfying effect RPG mechanics and loot seem interesting and will reward some grind. Oh and it is a pleasure to see StreumOn Studio coming back to what was so interesting in EYE Divine Cybermancy (which this game seems to be kinda linked?): a unique setting, full of occult and weird stuff. Keep up the good work, I cannot wait to try missions with random people online, this will be a blast.

No question must buy for any E.Y.E fans, just for the E.Y.E. 2 that currently in the making and depends on success of this game But this game overall isn't bad. It's not perfect, but addicting as hell, couldn't stop playing until 4 AM! It's definitely not the E.Y.E. i love, but has some similar vibes. Can't lie that hearing temple theme remix brought me back... Olivier Zuccaro nailed it again, delighted to hear how he improved since the release of E.Y.E., but soundtrack is kinda lacking during some parts in the game and i wish that more combat soundtracks is coming to. It's really weird that the most of the time i hear ambient is in the caves with resources and enemy count close to zero. Also personalized boss themes would be nice, but can't argue with a banger that plays on each fight What you can't take from StreumOn - is their love to create environments. Despite that games is locked up in tight caves and corridors, it still has it's signature details and beloved gloomy vibes. I really hope this game would feature some areas with open views, i love E.Y.E. for it's open maps, even though they're empty. But i'm sure it's possible to give similar feeling by putting some crazy landscapes in the same level design, something like canyons, for example. I'm sure that with the updates more rewards for beating the level come to be, now i want to give some thoughts on my problems and wishes for the game updates - As mentioned, more open levels will be a great addition - For some reason, abilites are locked during boss fights. Can't tell whether it's a bug that needs to be fixed, but i've managed to use only the healing ability and only on door fight, for the rest of the fights ability button didn't react at all on any ability - Multiplayer with my friend is literally unplayable, but solo mode plays perfectly for me. Have no issues with optimization or balance on solo - I know that it's a signature feature since the E.Y.E... but tutorials should be more clear about everything you can find on a level, also lore book is a must have. But maybe i've missed it somehow - Interface is awful, screen should be more clear. I hope it gets rearranged in a more minimalistic and stylish way. Such a bummer that i can't fully enjoy the art style with all that garbage on a screen - Some fonts feel like default Arial, improvement is needed - Fill every quiet areas with ambient and combat music!!! Overall, it's a gift for an E.Y.E. fan. Sure, it's a whole different game, but it's too joyful to reel back into beloved setting. E.Y.E. prequel being gloomy dark fantasy feels just right, can't wait for a real sequel!

Cryptic story, esoteric gameplay systems, poor performance, and common crashes. We're so back, Divine Cyberbros. Daimon Blades feels like a maturation of what StreumOn tried to do back in 2011, but with all the experience they gained working on Warhammer 40k. The result is a game akin to Vermintide or Mortal Sin, but which is aggressively, weirdly hostile to the player. Wonderfully bizarre and truly gorgeous.

Have you played E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy? Because if you have, there's so much in this game that's evocative of it. My wife, seeing and hearing my reactions, was like, "It's like you're being hugged by EYE!" And she was right. Well, it makes sense, it's set in the same universe, just a few millenia before Divine Cybermancy happened. But it's a much different game. Just to put a critical fact up top, even though it sort of ruins my internal narrative flow: this game runs smoothly with crisp framerates. I've not had a single hitch or problem, and I turned off framegen and am running it pretty close to maxxed out as well. Since it's a fast-paced game, this is vital. Biggest checkety-check right there. I'm not going to say I have the most powerful computer, but it's hardly a potato. (It does Cyberpunk 2077 at near-max at a good framerate too, as a vague reference.) Now, this game is a classic roguelike. What that means is you go do the action in the game to get resources, build up your stats, weapons and base, and delve deeper into the action as you go. So it does all of that. In keeping with the general themes of EYE, death is more of an inconvenience; you can die quite a fair bit before it's game over, and the game lets you recover from some of those deaths as well - all in the form of a "corruption" meter. Dying corrupts you. Certain other things uncorrupts you, though they're harder to find. The game is 95% about melee. There's timed parries (and ripostes), blocking, power attacks, dodges, guard crushing, critical hits. I expect a good number of you are nodding, you get what that is. If you don't but you want to know, drop a comment, I'll blather on more there. The gimmicks that make this game unique is that you have a healing vial; it will fully heal you. Hitting enemies slaps out little orbs that you can pick up to refill your vial, and you can always drink down a partially-filled vial, so laying into enemies with efficiency keeps you healed. Aggression is the order of the day. Combats move really quickly, so even with a heavy weapon that takes a full second between swings, I found myself rarely standing still at all. Enemies can quickly kill you if they catch you with a flush hit. Streum On has always been environment-forward and art-heavy, and this is no exception. Player art assets borrow from the Saracens, late-medieval templar orders, and samurai designs, each style belonging to a different sect. There's more to it than this but that's getting into the game's lore. If you're a big ol' nerd for esoterica, this game is filled with it. The characters are voiced in what might be cod-Latin, there's alchemical symbols and zodiacal stuff for other elements (most of which I know precious little about), and the game really is about slaying "Daimons" in the Greek sense while using a daimon-infested melee weapon. So, y'know, you might find that really uncomfortable if you're deeply christian. To sum up: the game is lush with art, it's very fast-moving, it requires situational awareness, it runs really quick and smooth, and it's built for coop. I can't speak to that, as I haven't gone coop yet, but I mean to as soon as I can. It has kept me deeply entertained for the hours I've put in so far (most on my other account). A+, would reccommend. Let me address the elephant in the room: the devs claimed they had AI-generated art assets in the form of character profile images, but have since removed them. I did, in fact, wait until they took the AI art out before going in. So I am aware, and I did hold off. Now that it's clear, I can only give this all the thumbs up I can spare. I am a total nerd for Streum On's stuff. I've streamed chunks of it, so you can check that out here: https://www.twitch.tv/fdejeuner and, frankly, I like chatty folk so if you're given over to typing a bit, we're going to get on great. Curator link and my schedule are on my profile.

1. It's an E.Y.E. prequel and it's great 2. Performance is wonky and it definitely needs some optimization 3. This game and the other game in this universe do not handhold with tutorials and it kinda stings from time to time 4. There are in fact some bugs 5. It is an Early Access product 6. It is fun 7. I killed my Mentor and yet I am not his Murderer 8. My legs are OK
