This is a pretty straightforward murder mystery adventure game, but it has some fun 'scares' that might make you classify this as horror or thriller. The walking mechanic is non-existent, like old-school adventure games where you click the 'edge' of a scene to move in that direction... that makes some of the 'scare' scenes extra tense because you don't get to mash a RUN button! The puzzles were simple and fun, and I say this as someone who does not like complex puzzle games. I hate having to check a guide for every unintuitive step, and I did not need a guide for this one. The masks were used marvelously, the scariest one for the most helpful character kept a nice, creepy vibe throughout the game. I had just gotten a really gnarly painting of a monster face set up beside my computer, and I keep seeing it out of the corner of my eye while playing. This game helped to convince me I needed to install it somewhere else. Aha! Get the game if you want to experience a short (2-3) hour spooky tale.

It's a bit janky, a bit buggy and some moments really do a number on your willing suspension of disbelief, but it's still an enjoyable and deliciously atmospheric detective game with horror elements. Buy it, turn off the lights and play it in one sitting; you won't regret it.
