TLDR: While the price is a little hefty for its length (about 10 hours if you don't reexplore every areas with all your newly unlocked powers and don't keep playing after the ending to get the 2nd ending), its a great game with a pleasant, cute and chill atmosphere, The combat works very well, though it isn't perfect. Story: As a newly assigned reaper crow, embark on a journey to harvest souls to break open Death's Door. What it is and what's beyond it is the endgame so I won't spoil it. Each boss have some small measure of backstory, so do all NPCs that you'll meet, each with their lovable and different personalities. For such a short game, each areas and bosses all feel very different, and this is a perfect example of quality over quantity. The protagonist itself doesn't really... well... say or speak cuz'.... well... It's a bird. Gameplay: Plays like a slow paced Hades with no roguelite elements. There is up to 5 weapons but most of them do not work well against most enemies' patterns. Switching between melee weapons also requires going in the main menu, so that's kind of a hassle. Beating enemies grants you souls, which you can spend to get extra stats. There is a lot of exploration which is rewarded by souls, hidden weapons, extra health and mana pips. There are up to 4 different spells, one of which isn't really a spell.... They all have their uses during combat but are especially useful for solving puzzles. No need to go in a main menu to switch for those. Bosses are amazingly fun and imaginative, they are never pushovers but refrain to become overwhelming. There is a central hub with all your opened doors in it, consider it your fast travel hub with a shop. A bit like Bloodborne. Dying simply bring you back to the nearest door. The dodging can be a little odd to get used to, even though there is iframes, as it doesn't take priority over the end of a combo. So it is sometimes better to take your time rather than rush in to hit enemies as much as possible, especially consider how little health you have. You can find seeds to plant in pots, which instantly grows a plant that you can consume to regenerate all your health back without having to return to the central hub (it grows back every time you go back to your central hub), as doing the latter will respawn all the enemies. Graphics: They aren't top of the line, but the choice of aesthetics allows the game to vary in styles a lot. One minute you'll be in a cemetary with bland colors, and the next you'll be in a super colorful swamp. It just works well. Audio: Very strong point of the game. Though there is no voice overs, the general ambiance of the game nails to instill a calm vibe while maintaining the player hooked on a combat loop that works well.

A decent top-down Metroidvania. Spent about 6 hours or so beating the game. There was post-game content, but there's one big thing that made me immediately drop the game after beating and doing the first thing: there is no map. This game likes to sprinkle obstacles in levels that require power-ups from later areas, wanting you to backtrack in order to get things like health & mana upgrades. However, without a map, it's hard to even tell where you are going in the overworld. You can manage on your main run through the game, but the prospect of going back through each world with little to no direction was something I didn't find fun enough to go back and attempt. I recommend this game at a discount. Combat is kind of fun when you get a bunch thrown at you and you have to keep up with everything coming at you, but I wouldn't say any other aspect of the game particularly stands out. Except maybe the music, it was quite nice.

was expecting a decent rougelike but got way more not a hard game but some parts are challenging the secrets were so well done they werent just "find this hidden room" they actually had a bit more depth to them simple controls but enough for this type of game loved the art style, the noir office area contrasts so well with the colourful biomes through the doors writing and story was fantastic kept me engaged the whole time super memorable characters that evolve with you during the game really dont have many cons besides the combat being "fairly" bare bones but god i really did like this game hope this gets a sequel cos it deserves one

Loved the game's premise, it's really fun and satisfaying to play. The art style is simple but it really brings the game together. Gameplay wise is not that hard and the bosses desings really goes well with the area they're in. So far, this devs don't miss.

Such a good game to go 100%. Took me a bit less than 12 hours and enjoyed every moment. It's an exploration game with hack and slash gameplay. Boss fights and some encounters can get very souls-like with their difficulty and good challenge overall.
