One of the best games of all time. Although I have to admit that my opinion is due to the overwhelmingly amazing mods and total conversions that this game has. I haven't beat vanilla Doom 2, and the majority of my time is because I use doom 2 in steam to keep track of my hours logged in GZdoom with mods. that being said, some of my favorite games of all time are doom mods. check out Ashes 2063 and its sequels, Venturous Current, and Blade of agony to name a few. All of the titles I mentioned are easily worth money but don't cost a penny. Sadly you can't pick up doom 2 by it self anymore, but you should def pick up doom 2 in the bundle so you can play all the mods! It's well worth it if you consider the sheer amount of content the community has put out for free.

This game is the whole reason I'm a tech head, fps guy and generally the person I am today. If I hadn't booted this on the old DOS family computer my life would be different. Thank you Romero, Carmack, American McGee, Sandy and the rest of the old id Team. Your ambition and drive to make something cool has helped me in ways I don't even know. This game is the pinnacle of it's era.
