First Game is better and a lot more Epic. You can tell with River of time they were prepping to make an MMO and it shows. Light on content at times and story, RoT is still fun but feels more like a mod for the first game than a title of its own.

An outstanding gem of a German RPG, I used to play this game a lot back when it was released, and always recall those times with great fondness. It has a very special and distinctive charm to it, and decent variety in terms of actual RPG elements, such as unique storylines tied to your player character's class and origin, and different approaches to solving certain issues that arise during your adventure. Battles and exploration are paced out evenly, and there's a myriad of fun little sidequests to do that help you feel immersed in the game. I also liked all the party characters, they feel like such a staple RPG party archetypes, but not in a bad way at all. Highly recommended for those seeking out a comfy classic RPG experience.

The game is good, sadly you have to jump trough hoops to get it running. Also the DLC isn't rate - so no buying it in Germany. Added to that the original Language (German) isn't here. Really a shame.
