Edna & Harvey Harvey's New Eyes is one of those rare point and click adventures that sticks with you not just because it’s funny, but because of how cleverly it balances humor with something much darker underneath. Honestly, I’m glad I played this before its predecessor. I wasn’t a big fan of The Breakout, and there’s a good chance I might have skipped this entirely if I hadn’t come in fresh. That would’ve been a mistake. The biggest strength here is the writing. The story is sharp, weird, and surprisingly layered, with a tone that swings between absurd comedy and unsettling moments without feeling disjointed. The game leans heavily into visual gags and narrative effects like Lilli’s censored worldview that give it a unique identity you don’t see often in the genre. It’s not just funny for the sake of it; it’s clever in how it delivers those jokes. Lilli is also a standout protagonist. Her dialogue (and the way it’s presented) adds a lot of personality, even when she’s not saying much outright. There’s a subtlety to her character that makes the humor land even harder, especially as the story progresses and things start to unravel a bit. From a gameplay perspective, the puzzles are well balanced overall. They mostly follow a clear internal logic, which is something a lot of classic point and clicks struggle with. There are still a few moments where solutions can feel a bit obscure or require some trial and error, but it rarely crosses into full on frustration. The interface is simple and works exactly as it should nothing flashy, but nothing getting in your way either. The presentation holds up nicely too. The art style is expressive and fits the tone perfectly, and the music deserves a mention it does a great job reinforcing both the lighthearted and darker beats of the story. If there’s a downside, it’s that the game feels a bit short. Just as everything really starts coming together, it’s over. Some players also find the tonal shifts especially toward the later parts of the story a bit jarring, depending on how much they connect with the darker themes. And while the humor is a highlight, it can be hit-or-miss if you’re not into that particular brand of offbeat, sometimes morbid comedy. Still, those are relatively minor complaints. This is a very memorable experience one that stands out in a genre that can sometimes feel stuck in its own traditions. It’s clever, funny, a little disturbing, and ultimately well worth playing. Very good. Very memorable. Shibuya power shing!

First playthrough review time. The drawings in this game are very clean and have a handmade look that stays nice to look at. The music and the voices are good, but the man telling the story talks a lot and his voice can be too dramatic. Since the main character is quiet, the story depends on this narrator, which might be hard to listen to for a long time. Most of the puzzles are easy to figure out by clicking on things and using items. There are only a few spots where the next move is not clear. The story is quite dark, and the jokes do not always fit well with the serious things happening. The tasks mostly make sense, and the game stays focused on the main character as the story moves through the school. In conclusion, the title is a solid choice if you like this kind of game. The art and the story are put together well, even if the jokes are not very lively. Although the narrator might be difficult to hear for too long and the game does not stay in your mind, the way it is built is still good. It is a second part that is okay to play even if you have not played the first one.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes – Review Edna & Harvey is a strange, often buggy, and undeniably unconventional adventure. It’s innovative and clearly intelligent, but it also demands a lot of patience — both to follow the story and to deal with its puzzles. The writing is sharp and clever, with moments of genuinely dark humor and originality, but the narrative isn’t always easy to digest. The pacing can feel awkward, and the game sometimes struggles to clearly guide the player through its own logic. Puzzle-wise, this is not a casual experience. Some solutions are genuinely challenging, others border on the frustratingly obscure. Add to that a noticeable level of jank and occasional bugs, and the experience becomes uneven. When it works, it’s creative and memorable. When it doesn’t, it tests your tolerance. In the end, it’s an interesting and ambitious adventure with a strong identity — but one that won’t appeal to everyone. Rating: 6/10

Overall fun and worth it and without spoilers there's a unique function to the game that's really tedious. You can't use or combine certain objects without using the function. It's the main concept of the game but it can feel really counter-intuitive. I'd say give it a shot because the game is still fun.

"A town of weirdos, a rabbit with an attitude, and me… doomed.” The game isn’t just a point-and-click adventure — it’s a pixelated circus of small-town weirdness, talking plushies with attitude, and puzzles that make you question if logic ever existed. The game politely reminds you from the start: your choices might matter, might not, and either way, Harvey will roast you. The art style is gloriously over-the-top. Characters look like they belong in a caffeine-fueled cartoon that’s just discovered existential crises. Townsfolk glare like you personally ruined their morning coffee, nurses wield moral judgment like it’s a weapon, and Harvey… Harvey just sits there, smug, plush, and smarter than all of us combined. Gameplay is pure absurdist joy. Explore, collect random objects, combine them in ways that make zero sense, solve clever-but-hilarious puzzles, and occasionally use a teapot to either flirt or save the world. Every win feels like pure genius. Every fail feels like the game is silently screaming, “Really? That’s your plan?” — and yes, it’s hilarious. The story has actual heart buried under all the sarcasm. Beneath the chaos, it explores morality, friendship, and small-town weirdness — all while making you laugh, groan, and question your own life choices. By the end, you’ll be arguing with a plush toy, facepalming at absurd puzzles, questioning morality, and laughing at yourself the entire way. And yes, that’s exactly the point.
