Pretty nice low priced incremental game that does allow a little movement control rather than just clicking stuff, so there's a tiny bit of hand/eye coordination involved. And to that end the game really could've used controller support, but the Steam controller input helper on mouse & keyboard setting works well enough (use right stick and right trigger in menus). It's of course the same formula as all of them -- make money/resources/etc. slowly, upgrade this and that, get better equipment, make money faster. I 100%'ed the game in just under 5 hours, but let's call it a 4 hour game since I've been falling asleep on the game in bed most nights. Which is not a comment on the game's entertainment level, I've just been getting crappy sleep this week.
After Nebulock and Far Fishing I was excited to see what LostVolBytes has in store for their next game. And now having played Far Mining I've got to say: Bravo! But from the start: Far Mining is a mini incremental game that instead of having "runs" or "waves" that you have to clear, you get a space ship base which is both the center of the playable space, as well as your usual upgrade place. Personally the game didn't really "catch" me at the start, but after about 45 minutes I was completely engrossed by it, having to set reminders for chores because otherwise I would have forgotten about the time. Without spoiling content; The game does a lot of things that other mini incremental games already did, but also does a few things that I haven't seen yet (though I haven't played all there are of course). An absolute delight that is worth the full price in my opinion. Another game that has claimed a spot in my top 5 in the genre! 100% takes around 3 hours with no missable achievements
