After Nebulock and Far Fishing I was excited to see what LostVolBytes has in store for their next game. And now having played Far Mining I've got to say: Bravo! But from the start: Far Mining is a mini incremental game that instead of having "runs" or "waves" that you have to clear, you get a space ship base which is both the center of the playable space, as well as your usual upgrade place. Personally the game didn't really "catch" me at the start, but after about 45 minutes I was completely engrossed by it, having to set reminders for chores because otherwise I would have forgotten about the time. Without spoiling content; The game does a lot of things that other mini incremental games already did, but also does a few things that I haven't seen yet (though I haven't played all there are of course). An absolute delight that is worth the full price in my opinion. Another game that has claimed a spot in my top 5 in the genre! 100% takes around 3 hours with no missable achievements

Fun and relaxing but SHORT incremental mining game. Emphasis on short which I personally prefer, but if you're looking for hundreds of hours of gameplay this is not the game for you. It takes a few hours to complete the game including all achievements - fun while it lasts but it doesn't outstay it's welcome. It's your typical loop: mine to be able to buy upgrades to be able to mine some more to buy more upgrades to....you get the idea. :D In this case the overall objective is to upgrade your ship to be able to make it back home after an un-expected detour. It's simple, but perfect after a long day or when you're just not up for anything other than something that lets you zone out and chill. I especially appreciate that there's not a ton of clicking in this game unlike some of these incremental games which are basically clicking-sims. Here you simply control the ship with WASD (or click to move if that's your preference) and it auto-mines any asteroids within reach. So the clicking is only needed for navigating the upgrade tabs. Two games (Far Fishing + this) so far is a good start for a series of these short incremental games. I hope to see more "Far..." games coming in the future. Maybe next time we get to drill through planets or hunt/collect alien creatures or what not...?

This was a fun and simple incremental game that I enjoyed for a couple of hours. Flying around the spaceship was really fun and it was perfectly balanced for me. There wasn't a lull in my gameplay at all. The parrot guide was also really funny, and I like when they add a bit of plot into the games. If you're interested in a short incremental experience, I'd definitely check it out! Finished? Yes Steam Achievements? Easy Steam Deck? Great Rating? 8/10 (2 deducted for simplicity) My curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45865425-CozyAriGames/ Full videos on Youtube

It's unfortunate that it doesn't currently have controller support but I would 100% still recommend this game at full price if you want a relaxing incremental experience. The last upgrade is a bit grindy but you're just drifting around blowing up everything so I can forgive it. Would like one last view expansion upgrade though. Following this developer for sure.

I followed this developer after "Far fishing" (also recommended). Both are really fun incremental games. Definitely recommended if you are into the incremental genre. I'll be on the lookout for future games :)
