Should you buy this game? Yes — especially if you enjoyed the previous games in the series and want another emotional, character-driven story. In-Depth Review Finding Paradise follows Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts from Sigmund Corp. as they enter the memories of their new patient, Colin. Like in [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/206440/To_the_Moon/] To the Moon (see [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/yoshikora/recommended/206440]my review of To the Moon ), their job is to alter Colin's memories as he is dying to fulfill his final wish. This time, however, there's a twist. I found the story easier to follow this time around. Unlike To the Moon , which primarily moves backwards through the protagonist's memories, Finding Paradise moves more freely back and forth through Colin's life. It made it easier for me to understand how everything connected. One of my favorite parts of the game is how it handles Colin's wish. It's difficult to explain without spoilers, but the reveal gives the entire premise a different meaning. Colin doesn't actually need Sigmund Corp. to change his life, he's simply a dreamer who believes something is missing. I loved that the doctors ultimately had to change nothing. It's very different from its predecessor , which I really appreciate since the game could easily have ended up feeling like a repeat. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3782205189 The characters remain one of the strongest parts of the series. At the same time, I'm becoming increasingly interested in the story happening outside the patients' memories. The growing tension around Sigmund Corp. is something I really enjoyed , and I'm curious to see where that storyline goes next. While Finding Paradise can be enjoyed on its own, I recommend playing To the Moon and [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/339550/Sigmund_Minisode_2_Free_201415_Holiday_Special/] Sigmund Minisode 2 (see [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/yoshikora/recommended/339550]my review of Sigmund Minisode 2 ) first for the extra context. It's a small change, but it makes the emotional scenes work even better. Navigation is also smoother, with the game occasionally highlighting objects you can interact with, making exploration less frustrating. In addition, the music is, once again, excellent. Finding Paradise had the same emotional punch as To the Moon did. Wow! What an experience. Short and gripping. An incredible soundtrack that moves the heart and an ending that left me in tears, having flashbacks of life with a growing lump in my throat. If you played to the moon you will enjoy this one too. Free bird games are doing the Lord's work. Even if you're impatient, please, be patient for at least an hour which is all the 'slow burn' this game needs to start grabbing you with its characters and plot. This is a must have game, with a deep philosophical motif that simply focuses on what you would do if you could go back in your life, as well as touching on themes of companionship, that's all I'll say. 10/10 incredible experience.
I cried very hard near the end of this story. When I first saw it, I didn't know anything about To the Moon or Freebird games. I just knew a good game when I saw it. I procrastinated for a long time before playing this game, but I was still vindicated for playing it. It's oozing with heart and passion, intrigue and silliness. The team that did this were very talented and the ending is something that was entirely too close to home. I loved it to pieces. Please support these people and get this game.
