I have played this game my whole life and I am 45 years old. There is no 100% on some missions, sometimes you have to accept your loses and BATTLE FORWARD!!

Absolutely amazing, specially for a 1999 game Got it recently while trying to cope with the sea power wait, it's been filling the gap quite welll, surprisingly good even in W10 Bugs are there, and they are quite annoying, it would definitely be nice if it received some bugfixes and native 16:9 support However the fleet management, carrier management and the scenarios included are top notch, the sea power teasers feel like a remaster of this game, which is well in order haha

Released in 1999 but still fun even today, the graphics are very dated but that gives it it's charm. Bought this while waiting for "Sea Power : Naval Combat in the Missile Age" to be released. There are a few game breaking bugs such as when aircraft can no longer land on the carrier and eventually run out of fuel. You can avoid it by not cancelling aircraft takeoffs. In the 12 hours so far its only crashed once. If you do get this I REALLY recommend getting dgVoodoo which can solve a lot of the graphical issues you WILL encounter such as artefacts and incorrect colours. I found that the "Bilinear DD/CPU operations" option enabled avoids any visual artefacts. If you are a cold waters or milsim strategy fan I think this game will be right up your alley.

This (which is older that me) is the BEST naval simulator in its category. It has everything that I want, such as various nations and their equipment. It also has all the features that I am looking for, like customization and openness for modding. There are also mods that update the database such as the NWP mod but the default database is already good enough that I managed to add 5 new nations using the vanilla data and 3D models. It is a pity that there are no other worthy successor to this game until when Sea Power was released.

I started playing this game recently as a stepping stone towards learning how to play Command: Modern Operations. I think it's absolutely brilliant for that. I'm loving the very different gameplay from anything I've played before. It actually feels kind of like an RTS. I'm learning about different weapon systems that I wasn't familiar with before, and why, for example, I should prefer to use an F-14/F-15 for establishing air superiority instead of an F-16. Needing to worry about positively IDing enemy units to avoid civilian casualties / collateral damage is an incredibly interesting game mechanic that should be in a lot more games.
