What a fantastic roguelike. Great execution of a cool concept. If you've played a billiards video game before, you know how to play this game. Now what if your cue ball was a pirate trying to get the buried treasure on a cursed island? It starts simply, but as you unlock more characters and items, there's a huge amount of depth that opens up. Each character plays totally uniquely. There are a lot of synergies between upgrades and items to discover. Everything you could possibly want in a roguelike! Plus it has a really fun art-style and amazing music. Don't listen to the guy that says the controls aren't precise. The flicking is as precise as you want it to be. You can fine tune the aim and the power after you've initially lined up your shot. In fact the later characters you unlock require highly precise play to perform well.

Overall really fun game, the flick physics its satisfying and fun to use and the characters are varied enough to have different gameplay experiences. The levels could have a little more variety and on latter stages it becomes very chaotic to track all the enemies, traps and effects that will happen.

I am giving it a thumbs up because devs are actively listening and still cooking. The game needs an enemy info system and they know it. It also lacks variety on different fronts and balance adjustments, but this is going to be addressed in v1.1 as well.

So, I finished the game at 100% First of all, once you beat the final boss, you unlock higher difficulty levels. The base one is super easy, but the next ones ramp things up with tougher enemies, more of them, and different curses that debuff your characters. The higher the difficulty, the harder it is to start β€” but once you get rolling, you can snowball hard with the right combos. Even though I really enjoyed it (and I'd totally recommend it β€” it's a lot of fun), there are also some things that could've been better, so while playing I kept notes on what worked and what didn't and here's my full breakdown: Pros [*]Great sound effects [*]Cool visuals, animations, and overall art style [*]Beautiful effects artwork [*]Weapon and relic modifiers are smartly designed [*]Characters, abilities, and relic swaps feel well-balanced and interesting [*]Lots of creative enemy designs [*]Difficulty increases nicely with added curses [*]Dual-character mechanic is fun (some combos are clearly stronger, but it works) [*]Excellent Italian translation [*]Arena layouts with curves and corners make for clever bounce strategies [*]With hotkeys, you can actually play just with the mouse β€” it becomes super fast, intuitive, and satisfying Cons [*]Enemy variety could be better [*]Too short β€” few levels and not much randomization [*]Little incentive to take on harder fights over normal ones [*]Final boss feels underwhelming [*]Unlock system is neat but gets repetitive since runs feel very similar [*]EXP system is too simple β€” leveling up happens too easily, and rewards don't feel impactful [*]Curses are unbalanced β€” some are way better to have than others [*]No rewards for clearing the board [*]You can reset a fight by saving and quitting [*]Desktop icon is… kinda lame [*]It's unclear who attacks first in combat order [*]Not enough items [*]Limited variety leads to very similar runs [*]Missing detailed info about enemies β€” you have to learn everything by trial and error, a few tooltips would've helped a lot [*]Some achievements are annoyingly random (the sculptor one took me hours just to get the right map setup β€” super frustrating) Overall , I had a great time with it β€” it's a tight, creative roguelike that just needs more content, variety, and polish to reach its full potential.

It's fun, it's inventive, and if you like the look of the gameplay from the Steam page then you probably won't be disappointed. With that said, the game suffers from giving inadequate information to the player, in several ways that limit your strategic options. Most notably, there appears to be no way to know which enemies are going to attack in what order, limiting your ability to intentionally set up chain reactions of enemies hitting each other. In addition, enemies have unique gimmicks and mechanics, but these don't appear to be presented to the player or otherwise documented - a design choice that rewards learning the game, I suppose, but makes the first couple of runs feel rather blind and random. On a similar vein, there's some event decisions you can make that will significantly color how favorable future events are. In some cases, you want to go to the same event type as many times as possible - and sometimes, you never want to return to a certain event type again. This can, again, penalize you for not knowing certain game mechanics in advance (a mixed bag), but when you DO know the game mechanics it can rob you of meaningful choice in the pathing you take during a run. For instance, if you steal an item from a 'stone' event early, you will probably just automatically want to take paths without 'stone' events in the future, which may easily render some worlds a completely linear experience with no overworld strategy at all. In general, the overworld pathing is pretty bare-bones, but that's not uncommon for roguelites in this style (for better or worse). That all said, the base gameplay loop is excellent and well-made.
