This is a very good visual novel. I really liked the mystery components of it. I've only played one of the endings, but it did leave me crying like a baby, so I guess there's something to be said about the emotional component of this game. The main issue I have with it is that you have to be so careful with the decisions you make to not get a "le jeu est fini." The puzzles were also very annoying, and I was softlocked a few times. Overall, I'd say this is worth the money, and anyone who likes yuri should play it.

My First Visual Novel Experience: Flowers -Printemps- ​Overall Impression: A Bittersweet Beginning After spending 30 hours on my very first Visual Novel, I’m left with a mix of emptiness and so many unanswered questions. Flowers provided an incredible first experience, even though I struggled with unfamiliar vocabulary and the vast amount of references the game threw at me. ​The "Brutal" Puzzles: I’ve heard that the puzzles are a weak point if you aren't good at deduction, and boy, did this game crush me! As someone not great at riddles, being asked about things I’ve never encountered was a real challenge. ​Example (The Number 17): I was so confused! I learned that in Italy, 17 is considered unlucky because the Roman numeral XVII can be rearranged to spell VIXI, which in Latin means "I have lived" (implying "my life is over"). It was a "head-scratching" moment for me, but looking back, it was actually very interesting to learn something so niche. ​Story & Characters: The narrative does a great job exploring Suoh’s painful past and her journey to move on while developing relationships with her "Amitié." The game gives us choices on who to bond with, leading to 7 different endings. I hit 5 Bad Ends before finally clearing the last two! ​The Endings: If I had to choose, I preferred Rikka’s ending. Mayuri’s ending felt far too tragic to be a "True End" for me. It’s a cliffhanger that really makes you want to jump straight into the sequel to find out why Mayuri left the school. I feel so sorry for Suoh! 🥹 ​Final Thoughts: This was a perfect first impression of the VN genre. My explanation might be a bit messy, but I’m so glad I discovered this game. Huge thanks to the person who recommended this to me—it truly meant a lot. ​See you in the next season!

I love this VN, but similar to what a lot of people have been saying, it could have been better. My first and biggest issue with the game is the mystery. They don’t leave enough clues for you to make a good conclusion when it comes to choosing an answer. For example, when we were asked which country has the most Catholics, I immediately looked it up and found the answer to be either Brazil or the USA. However, the answer turned out to be Italy, which makes no sense considering Italy’s disadvantage due to its lesser population. Another example is Neri talking about 13 being an unlucky number. When the game presented me with choices, I naturally picked 13 as the unlucky number since Neri mentioned it. How the hell was I supposed to know that the answer was 17 all along when the game purposely misled me and didn't even leave hints that the answer might be 17 instead of 13? This was definitely a big writing mistake on their part, which is a letdown. My second issue is Suoh's character. Don't get me wrong, I love her and all, but she was too easy on Rikka!!! Rikka literally blackmailed her into a relationship and she just forgave her so easily. I can't even get mad over her for that because it's just Suoh being Suoh. Speaking of Suoh forgiving Rikka, I wish we saw the full detail of this happening instead of seeing it through Mayuri's POV since their conversation wasn't even clear at all. My third and last issue is Mayuri and Suoh's romance. I wish that there were more time for Mayuri and Suoh to have more interactions after Chapter 7 so we could see how Mayuri's feelings for Suoh bloomed. And when they did finally get together, we didn’t even get to truly enjoy the moment because of Mayuri’s abrupt departure. As a result, their romance feels very anticlimactic. I personally wanted more lovey-dovey moments between them, and being left with an ending that doesn’t give me that feels unsatisfying. Despite all these flaws, the good parts still completely won my heart. I loved the amount of literature references, the character interactions (especially between Suoh and Yuzuriha), the phenomenal art, and the overall plot. I'd totally recommend this VN if you don't mind the flaws I just stated above. It's still very good and really worth your money. Reading this made me feel like a bum though because it was all I have been doing since Christmas break, but I would do it over and over and over again. Once again, thank you for the wonderful journey, Flowers -Le volume sur printemps-. Till I see you next time. 💗

Cute and gay yuri but I will say this is awful at being a puzzle/mystery game, there's only one puzzle I thought was reasonably possible to solve using the information provided in game, all the others I had to look up because they require very specific knowledge or in one case, are just worded incorrectly so you can't logic out the right answer.
