Great visual novel, great characters, personalities, and interactions. Best of all, it's really cute. I'd totally watch an anime adaptation about this.

I really love Highway Blossoms. It’s a such a special game that set off the founding of my favorite VN studio. They polished this game into a gem and have made so many fantastic games since. I recommend them all, but Highway Blossoms is the perfect starting point

A very good yuri romance novel. Sweet and fluffy for the most part, except for a little bit at the very end. The dynamic between the two leads is familiar, but well done. Marina is a ditzy, perky girl, and Amber is a grumpy straightwoman to her antics. There's also 3 other side characters who I like a little less. Mariah is an alcoholic fellow treasure hunter, who I think is a little too abusive to her friend Joe, and little sister Tess. Other than those 5, there are no real other characters of note, only the occasional side character who only exists to move the plot along. I'm not always a fan of adult content in my games, but I think it was nicely handled in this. There are only two sex scenes, and they definitely felt earned. And the scenes are nicely awkward as well. These two girls aren't porn stars, they''re still trying to learn what they like and dislike. I'll also give credit, there's one point in the sex scenes where I said "Oh, that's awful" out loud, and then one of the characters burst out laughing at the line. The one this I would put as a caveat to some people, is that, towards the end of the game, Amber can't come to terms with her own feelings, and snaps at Marina, in a way I found to actually be kind of cruel. This is eventually patched up, and dealt with, but if you've been in an abusive relationship, maybe you'd find it kind of triggering?

For an earnest and queer title, it's nice that it allows itself to be perhaps a little bit exaggerated, hokey, and frankly problematic in the same way that straight galge have gotten away with for ages instead of forcing itself to be perfectly ideal and soft. Something of a "popcorn read", but there ain't nothing wrong with that.

Overall a good and cute yuri vn There are some things i didnt like at the end regarding Amber but it doesn't make the whole experience not worth, just be warned that there are abusive and toxic traits that at least are handled okayish
