I have mixed feelings towards this game. On one hand, the art is fantastic and definitely a highlight. The relationships are also well done in my opinion. The mystery is lacking though, I'm a big fan of golden age mysteries and honkaku so it could be an issue with me rather than the game. I went in expecting a mystery with clues littered through the story but it felt more focused on the romance and the character's histories with each other. The detective angle felt more like an artistic theme rather than the genre. As long as you go in with that expectation, I'd recommend it but if you're solely looking for a mystery game, I wouldn't recommend it. That said, it's not like the romance is hidden in marketing by a long shot so I think my disappointment in the mystery was more a result of who I am rather than the game being misleading so I'd chosen the recommend option on the Steam review choice.

I liked this game, not outstanding but not bad either a solid 6/10 if you want to play the story for a few hours and get all the endings and even romance options. I really loved the character designs, especially He Yaqion's/Joan's with the mix of her traditional wear and the vest and coat over it. The art as well as the way the characters talk and what they say as well as the music Translation is also pretty good in my opinion even if some small mistakes are still there in this version, but it is only like noticable like three times overall. I also really liked the references to books and music and all that, very interesting in my opinion. A lot of love to the artist, the art really does help this game a lot. I really loved the art. The gameplay is very laid back but I do have to say that the detective work and all is mostly done by the game along with exploring and all that. The player gets pretty much no choice in that regard. The decisions sometimes feel like one has to make them with their gut feeling rather than solid evidence and all. Sometimes it does not feel like the decision matters at all and during some points I personally wished I would have been given the choice (with the silver batch for example). It is more like watching a movie and making decisions from time to time and later the game sometimes tells you whether the decision was wrong or not. Since I got it on sale and the game is overall pretty cheap my expectations were a bit lower and regarding that I fell like I got good bang for my buck by having fun for a few hours and also really loving one ending *SPOILER* Now regarding the three different endings I personally like the non-romance one and I love Queenies. I personally could not understand the one with Xin Rui and all, but that can be just personal preference. It also feels like that ending was just half squeezed in and all because the ending with Queenie and the solo ending feels way more fleshed out. I feel like I might be a bit biased but if the Queenie ending wasn't so great I would have probably given the game a bit of a lower rating. I LOOOOVE the Queenie ending so much overall <3

the art is so pretty i can't even be mad. the story isn't bad at all, just a little confusing at first. but it does get clearer the more you read... in a mysterious, fever dream-ish way with edited MTL vibes all around, but at least it's a lesbian girl-power fever dream. also Queenie looked so pretty with her old hair color. i hope she becomes president of Iceland, or whatever she what aiming for. women can do literally anything and i support her campaign 100%

Really nice artwork and a story that left me confused but with a couple of memorable moments that I won't spoil. The translation is rough but it's manageable. I would have liked more "London" in a game carrying it as the title (I'm not saying our MC should have been stabbed on the tube or anything but aside from a mention of 'Rules' and copious tea drinking it's easy to forget where the game takes place). Still, I was pleased with the ending I got and look forward to the developer's next project.

Starting with nitpicks: The game starts in Chinese and must be set to English in the settings. Not a huge issue as it is a Chinese game, just worth mentioning. Very short (100% achievements in about 110 minutes for me, and I read slowly.) The text is roughly translated but still readable. Some parts remain untranslated, and Xin Rui's name appears in hanzi in her name plate (Though not every time, the epilogue side story name plate is translated.) A few references, such as tonal ones, are directly translated rather than localized, so they may not make much sense to non-Chinese speakers. The plot is decent but fairly simple. I didn't quite feel a connection to any of the characters by the end of it; It felt more like I was being told how to feel instead of being allowed to build a connection to either character. The romance is not really a focus, rather the entirety of development for both romances happens in flashbacks rather than in the present timeline. The Good: The character art is beautiful, and the CGs are very well done. Art style definitely carries this VN. The music is also quite nice. It is cheap ($4.50 USD at the time of this review), and I think it was worth that price to support the developers on future projects as this game shows clear potential. I look forward to future releases.
