I want to start with a word of caution for those who are looking for games that don’t need to be tweaked. As an early access game, this game may not be for you yet. With that said, I’m already hooked and I can see the possibility of an amazing game. I know, you might be wondering what has me so excited! PeDePe has combined one of my all-time favorite emergency dispatch games, 911 Operator, with Rescue HQ. Not only can I create my own base with emergency services to dispatch, but I also get to do it in a location of my choosing. Only recently buying the game, I’ve already spent hours of my time in my hometown, hearing voice generated callouts for a business I already know the location of. Whether it’s a drunken bar fight at the local bar or shoplifting at the hardware store, I don’t even need to look for the address, I already know where it is. Yes, the maps aren’t 100% accurate, but by google standards they are close enough that I can identify the locations. I even built my police and fire stations on the spot where the town’s stations are. Now for the bad news, there’s at least a year’s worth of development to do. From what I’ve gathered so far, the developers are extremely interested in working on the product so I don’t have many concerns that the product will be left half baked. But, in its current state, the end game is not sustainable. As the map continues to extend to more parts of the location, the constant micromanaging of emergency units at each stage of an emergency will only lead to immense frustration, even for hardcore gamers. It’s nice to know what is happening at the scene, but to have to constantly flip back and forth to units at various events while dispatching more units to other locations, it’s a nightmare. Trained units should be handling emergencies for themselves and requesting more resources as needed. I shouldn’t have to dispatch the unit to a location for shoplifting, tell the unit to question witnesses, tell the unit to apprehend the shoplifter, tell the unit to take the offender to prison, while handling four other emergencies that might be more complicated with more steps. Don’t get me started on how many steps are in a plane crashing into an apartment building. My word of advice to someone who’s on the edge and considering this game. Although I’ve spent many hours having fun with it, it’s not a complete product. There aren’t enough emergencies to keep from sounding like a broken record, the UI cannot be resized and must be tweaked to prevent from feeling clunky, there needs to be more diversity of vehicles and roles, the annoyance of end game micromanaging, and there aren’t a ton of items to build your base with. If you can put up with a few bugs in a developing game, check it out. If you can’t, you might want to wait for further development.

Enjoyed the game but got a bit tedious after an hour because you have to keep telling them what to do, would be more enjoyable if you didn’t have to keep telling your units what to do after sending them to a call out, surely they would do it themselves? If that gets changed I’ll re buy the game, ended up getting a refund for it, such a shame about that, if it gets changed please let me know and I’ll re buy it!

This is a fun emergency operator and base management game. The only downsides currently are having to micromanage your units at every emergency scene which can get quite tedious at times, and not being able to pause to plan out busy times. If the devs would fix these it would be even better.

game is fun in the beginning but becomes very very repetitive i believe there needs to be some type of base progression to where you can automate the calls / employees for that area /base so you can move on to other areas and unlock your whole state /city i cant imagine having more than 3 bases running ems police fire and swat and trying to click and micro manage every thing they do and why do i need to tell the firefighters to put out the fire if i sent them to respond to the fire ??

Yes, BUT A few things I've noted in the demo feedback still remain an issue. The micro-managing of the individual vehicles on scene still bugs me. If a dispatcher sends emergency vehicles to a burning trash can, the dispatcher doesn't have to tell them to put out the fire. Your emergency workers should only need micro managing if there is an issue. In example, when the mission needs extra help from another unit. There is a browser game, "Rescue Operator" that does that really well. You send units to an incident and the first unit on scene reports back about what is going on and if additional personel is needed. What they did improve on is employee management. If someone on a vehicle is low on energy, they will get replaced with better rested ones, as soon as the vehicle is back in its parking spot. One of the best things: An ingame feedback menu. You can vote on featuers what to include next. You can report bugs and request features or vote on already submited issues and ideas. Together with modding support, this game could become absolutely insane.
