I like it quite a bit so far. I have ADHD and find this sort of thing helpful. I'm just gonna structure this in a simple way: pros, cons, and suggestions for improvement. Pros: +Cute! +Some bangin' tunes. +RAIN SOUNDS. This is a big one for me - I'm the kind of person who finds rain sounds super helpful for focus. +The ability to import images/GIFs for posters, screens, etc. is really fun and lends itself to customization. +Room decorating is fun and they give you quite a bit of freedom. (More on this in Cons, though.) +I like the story/lore bits, reminds me a bit of "Livly Island" in how it frames the player as a kind of researcher, an active participant in something. Basically, in gogh you're enrolled in a program where you get to take care of an alien called Kuroda42 as it grows up. Kuroda42 likes helping people focus or something like that. It's cute - not very fleshed out as far as I can tell so far, but it's a nice touch. Cons: -Avatar/furniture options are in a weird spot right now. You have enough items that it doesn't feel barren, but it's still pretty limited, since they mostly fit a specific "cute" style. It's a bit more difficult to express yourself in a different style. -Color picking is baaad, but other people have already elaborated on this and it's on the roadmap to be fixed. -Furniture placement can be tough. It's not like the Sims or Animal Crossing where you have limited slots for what you can put on a table, for instance. You can go off-grid, stack as many things on the table as you want, rotate freely (not just by 45 degree increments), etc. It's a lot of freedom, and I personally like it, but I could see other people not liking it because it's so touchy. -I can understand clothing clipping through other clothing, but it's a problem when sometimes the character's skin can clip through the clothing. -IDK if it's just my system or something but sometimes the blinking animation is messed up and the eyelashes pass over the eyes. -They haven't really made the VPet aspect very interesting, and it doesn't really feel integrated with the focus aspect of it. -My biggest gripe: not a lot a lot of productivity features. The to-do list, for example, is very simple and it feels uncomfortable to have more than like 3 items on it at a time. Don't expect to do any longterm planning with this. Suggestions: -More productivity features could be nice. Some examples: better to-do lists, a calendar, maybe even a journal? Honestly, the development roadmap seems focused on adding more customization features, which I do want, but I hope the productivity aspect of the game isn't neglected. -The ability to upload images/patterns to some clothes the same way you can with some furniture. -More facial features like mouths and brows! Should you get it? If you like "body doubling" as a focus strategy or just want a custom "lo-fi girl" for your PC, I think it's pretty good, especially for the price tag. Hopefully it continues to improve. If you just want an avatar creator and room designer, I would say wait - these features are OK at the moment but leave a lot to be desired still. Overall I'm having fun and getting stuff done!

I have a recommendation, add steam workshop and negative reviews will be resolved by the community itself.

gogh is less of a “game” and more like an ambient productivity pet rock—but cuter, more animated, and slightly more emotionally available. Imagine an emotional support animal… but not an animal… and not particularly supportive either. Just there—quietly vibing with you in the background while you try to get your life together. Gameplay? Well, that’s a generous word here. There are some light interactive elements: you can hatch eggs (yes, eggs!), and tame whatever creature hatches out of them. But if you’re looking for boss battles or inventory management, turn back now. This is less “epic quest” and more “soft background comfort while you doom-scroll or finally tackle that spreadsheet.” The real appeal lies in the atmosphere. You get a cozy little 3D character (which you design from a set of charming presets) sitting—or standing—around in a room of your choosing, while 127 lo-fi BGM tracks hum along in the background. Yes, I counted. And if that’s not enough, there are 20 sound effects to sprinkle in, ranging from chirping birds and frogs, to wind, thunder, white noise, and its edgier cousin, pink noise. You can pretend you're working from a tranquil forest, a rainy cityscape, or a peaceful hilltop with suspiciously good Wi-Fi. There’s also a built-in clock, Pomodoro timer, count-up timer, and a simple to-do list. No, it’s not going to replace JIRA or Microsoft Project—unless your team’s OK with your sprint backlog being managed by a virtual frog—but for solo productivity with a cute twist? It does the trick. Customization is decent but not limitless. You can’t import your own avatar (which would’ve been awesome), and 3D object import is a no-go. But the art style is cute, and I’ll admit—my little digital buddy grew on me. Like a houseplant, but one that sits in a chair and judges no one. Room customization is a nice bonus—you can decorate with desks, beds, shelves, and other furniture. Plus, you can display your own images (including animated GIFs), webcam streams, or even OBS feeds, which opens up fun possibilities… like projecting a live feed of your cat watching you work. Productivity recursion! If you're looking for a peaceful digital companion that doesn't talk, doesn’t judge, and never asks for a raise, gogh might be your new favorite coworker.

a really cute and relaxing productivity app, with a touch of decoration, making cute character customization and monster raising to it!! i discovered this app / game from my friend a couple days ago and downloaded the mobile ver of it and i got addicted. i used it when i was working and i really loved all of the features it offer + it's beautiful art style. just i am a bit disappointed there's no longer focus timer tracker in the pc version, since i often track how many hours i work in a day for productivity and also motivation, i hope it is implemented in the pc version too like the mobile ver. if you like a pretty and relaxing productivity app with pomodoro timer feature too in it and also the ability to decorate and create your own virtual working space while being accompanied by a cute monster that grows depending on how you interact with the app, i really recommend this app/game!!

I love this as a study tool! Has amazing features like a pomodoro timer, countdown timer, and lists! The side-progression really gives you some motivation to fill these things out and utilize them if for some reason you need that gamification; but none of it is overbearing/distracting. I use this whenever I want to study, I highly recommend it! (P.S. you can make some super cutieful characters >:3)
