I used the mod that restores the radio songs that were removed and I feel this is the best way to re-experience this game. This game and San Andreas are responsible for shaping my taste in music that lasts to this day. Absolute classic.

GTA VC DE is the way to play on a modern rig since the old games broke if u exceed 30fps. I get the complains and I agree with most that this may not be the OG way to play and the de listing of the old games on steam sucks but honestly coming into this game with an open mind and I enjoyed it! The Graphics aren't as amazing as they could have been but I think they are very good and keep the classic feel there, the gameplay is great and the QOL is very much welcome. The checkpoint for when you fail a mission instead of having to go back or dying and having no weapons is very well needed. The 1440p and 4K support is good and as expected, the game can also be played with unlimited fps but I capped mine at 144 fps to avoid any problems. Ultimately I think it's a great game and one of the pioneers to open world story games. The remaster ofc could have and maybe should have been better but I think it's great and the only way to play these games on a modern rig. If you want to play the OG games you can find the trilogy on the R* Launcher Remaster 7.5/10 Edit: Beware the helicopter controls have changed and been dumbed down for Keyboard players like me, basically you can't rotate your helicopter unless you use a controller, something I remember on the OG version is being to fly the helicopter with no problems. Just a headsup

Honestly, I’m really happy with this game. I didn’t run into any bugs, and everything worked smoothly for me. The atmosphere of Vice City is just amazing – the streets, the music, the vibe, it all feels so alive. I got completely hooked. Sometimes I just drive around listening to the soundtrack, and it feels like I’m reliving the old days, only with a nicer look. Maybe it’s not perfect, but for me it’s pure fun and nostalgia in one package. My score: 10/10 – pure vibe, pure nostalgia.

A good remaster of a legendary game. Some parts turned out well, some not so much. The original music has been restored with a mod, so that's no longer an issue. Overall, it was enjoyable to play through the updated version. It's probably more suited to new players, but I enjoyed it as a fan of the original. And if someone doesn't like it, there's always the original. After the latest update and with the help of the "Radio Restored" mod (google it) this is, in fact, the Definitive Edition. Vice City has never played or looked this good. The sunrise is mesmerising to look at. The controls are fine tuned, the weather effects and glowing neon lights reflecting off shinning surfaces and car look amazing and the game itself is as fun as ever.
