Look. I don't make the rules, but these are the facts: If you've ever posted some comment or thread like "Why don't they make more mecha games?" it's your ethical duty to buy this. Thankfully it's pretty fun, with just the right amount of rough edges that I like in games like this. Mechanics are simple, missions are quick, and it's got multiplayer.

Fun fact: Depending on your build, you will either play Armored Core or Mechwarrior

Edit: they fixed my complaint hours after writing my review. All is well in the world and I can be happy playing this amazing game. I really want to give this game a positive review, but I currently cant. the level of desync that happens in multiplayer games results in regular loss of all saved information for any co-op partners when re-loading the save. The NG+ genuinely breaks the game if its a multiplayer save.

I really like this game. I definitely enjoy the co op. You can pass parts from one to another, you do unlock more part variety as you play as well. To me it feels like a clunky mech game like mechwarrior 5 but imo with considerably better co op play(you each can manage your time/resources/mech). It has a ton of varied and interactive ways to combine parts and change functionality and bindings of the keys to control those parts to play in a very creative way. My friend threw a magnetic spear and pulled it back using it as his ranged and melee weapon depending on circumstance, and used a grappler arm to pull himself around. I also saw his build evolve to the throw-able spear and shield looking like a hoplite. I personally made my mech lightning fast with these grasshopper like legs and could jump around with fast cooldowns and machine guns instead of arms and they didn't need to reload at all so it was like an endless stream of bullets. I was able to kite enemies and gun them down while dodging fire. There also is the strategic aspect of a few rogue-lites where you manage your resources between missions at the bases. Choosing how to repair or spend your limited time. In co op, everyone's time is separate and you can share items to each other. Overall, I found it tactical with resource management and heavily skill-based in the action phases of the game. Overall, I found it a better game than mech warrior 5 which has a similar management aspect but less interesting gameplay and a far weaker co operative impementation. You can have 10 other players with you in this game as well which is wild. The difficulty also skyrockets and it becomes really chaotic. Overall, surprisingly compelling.

Fuck yeah, finally someone made a custom mecha game with roguelike bones that is not simply an action game. The mehca feel heavy, the action is paced well, shit is good man B)
