If you want really good combat, breathtaking visuals and a compelling story, buy Armored Core 6. This really feels like more a gunpla customizing game, with some basic combat mechanics for trying out your customs, and doing some dioramas. That in an of itself is fun, but it is very "what you see is what you get" If you're a gundam fan, I'd say get it at a discount. If you're just into mecha, there are other and better games.

If you're looking for in-depth storytelling and complex mecha battles, this is not the game for you. BUT if you're wanting to build really cool custom mobile suits out of an incredibly large pool of parts and abilities then mindlessly battle hundreds of other mobile suits with them in a Dynasty Warriors hack and slash style, this game is AMAZING.

My first Gundam game on PC (aside from the Overwatch-style Gundam Evolution) and honestly, it feels like a dream come true for a Gunpla builder like me. The customization is incredible. There are so many parts to mix and match, and an impressive lineup of Gunpla, even the latest ones like Calibarn from Witch from Mercury and the new series G-Quuuuuux. You can tweak everything: paint colors, materials, add stickers, and proudly display your creation in dioramas with so many themes. It's a super relaxing and creative experience. That said, the grind does get tiring. Farming plastic parts to upgrade rarity and level up your dream build becomes repetitive after a while. Combat-wise, it’s pretty engaging. Think classic hack-and-slash, but with tons of variety thanks to different EX skills and OP moves depending on the parts you equip. However, the arena selection feels a bit limited, and the story while reminiscent of Gundam Build Fighters isn’t really the game’s strong suit. Overall, Gundam Breaker 4 is a love letter to fans. Yes, the grind and mediocre story might turn off some players, but the depth of customization and creativity makes up for it. If you're a Gunpla fan, grab it ideally on sale and enjoy building your perfect mobile suit.
