HALLOWEEN: THE GAME The review is being updated !! !! !! !! Story Mode It teaches you all of Michael's mechanics to learn how to play him, but it's a short mode, although each chapter has 6 challenges that you can complete to get tons of rewards (banners, titles, skins...). Multiplayer Michael Myers: It's not like other asymmetrical games where you simply follow the survivor... In this case, Myers has 3 abilities at the start of the game, and one of them is Shadow Mode, which makes you invisible and allows you to move very quickly and stalk your next victim (you can't kill in this mode while it's active). What you can do as Michael Myers: - Stalk survivors and NPCs (MOST IMPORTANT) to level up the Blood ability to level 3. - Tier 3 Ability: Allows you to perform executions depending on the weapon you're using, and especially to carry out brutal executions around the map (executions in fireplaces, car repair shops, refrigerators, phones, walls...). - Close off any exits the survivors have opened. - Kill ALL or almost all the NPCs on the map to prevent them from escaping (This gives a lot of XP). - Destroy vehicles. Survivor(s): There are a total of 8 NPCs, but 3 of them are special and are the top priority to save. As soon as you start, look at the map and go find them and ask them to hide so that Myers CAN'T FIND THEM and it's more difficult for him. The other 5 survivors also need to be saved, but I recommend calling the police with them first to increase your wanted level so they send more units to help. What you can do as a survivor: - If Michael Myers catches you and you have a weapon like a knife, you can stab him to escape or spam A+D like a psychopath to force your escape. If you're lucky and he doesn't kill you first, then GG. - Run Myers over with the bike and the police car or getaway vehicle (This is brutally fun) - Throw objects at Myers' face - Stop him to end the game (Loomis is required + the other survivors who help stop him when you knock him to the ground) When the first survivor dies at Myers' hands, you can use the radio to call Samuel Loomis. Rewards All survivors and Michael Myers have a section with: - Challenges to unlock tons of skins, banners, and titles - Prestige levels for both your profile as a survivor and as a killer - A notebook with two types of challenges (Progressive and Passive --> These give you skins, XP, and much more) Problems - Completing any challenge can be frustrating because you work in sections and complete them one by one, and on top of that, they're the typical overpowered challenges that ask you, for example, to rescue 75 survivors by making them follow you (most of them are frustrating). - The NPCs are often very clumsy and ignore you or get in the way, ruining whatever is happening at that moment. But other times, when they just stand there and don't move, it's funny because you can beat them up with Myers, and it's hilarious. - When, for example, I talk to a survivor and ask them to escape, other players often come along to ruin the experience and steal my survivor, telling them to escape so they can take it from me and mess with me. OPINION Honestly, Halloween: The Game has enormous potential, However, it needs new content every so often to avoid getting boring. Ultimately, it's not a single-player game, and new maps, items, and mechanics are always necessary to keep it interesting. I highly recommend it, especially if you like the Michael Myers series. And I love that there's proximity voice chat... Most of my games involve role-playing with Michael Myers, and it's hilarious when other people are talking in the game.
Every time I play as Michael, they scream at me, call me a loser, taunt me, and sometimes even start insulting my entire family tree. With all the rage they have, they make me feel like I’ve truly killed someone who was dear to them. 10/10, this game is really funny and makes you feel like a monster or a victim, depending on which role you take. (Epic)
<3 CIVILIAN TIPS BELOW!!! <3 The single player story is extremely short, but it does a good job introducing you to Michael’s abilities and giving you an idea of how he plays. There are some fun moments where you get to experiment with different ways of hunting survivors, but I would’ve liked to see the civilian side explained more as well. -Turn on EVERY light when entering a building, including lamps. This helps prevent Michael from Shape Jumping inside. If the power goes out, use it as your cue to get outside and toward the nearest light. -Always carry a Knife or Ice Pick and keep one selected in your inventory. They can save you from Michael’s grab and make escaping much quicker. - If Michael is chasing you, break line of sight! Manage your stamina by stopping in light sources to recover it. Lock doors behind you when running through buildings, dodge if he gets close, and then RUN! - If a teammate dies, head to the CB Radio so they can come back as the Detective. If you die, play minigames until you return as Police. Both roles can help the Civilians still alive. - When you enter a house with a Resident/Special Target, tell them to hide if an exit isn't open. Having them follow you can make them an easy target. Once they're hidden, call the police and then loot. - Get Lynda to Level 10 ASAP. This lets your preferred Civilian start with a Pocket Knife, giving you a major advantage when Michael grabs you. - As Detective/Police, focus on rescuing your teammates and Residents. You can try to arrest Michael, but… good luck with that. Remember: The goal isn't just to escape. Rescue the town and your team, not just yourself. Extra Tips - You don't need an axe to break wood! Apparently, you can even break it with a Pocket Knife. - The map shows clouds where other Civilians are, so use that to help locate your teammates. -(Orange clouds: Special targets -Blue clouds: regular residents) - Playing as a Cop? There's a command wheel that lets you tell survivors what to do. - Escape Keys are used for the gates around the edges of the map and the tornado shelters. The gates also require fuses—you may get one randomly from a box or have to search for one. - Bolt Cutters can be used to cut the chains on the escape points!
