FInished it in 5h and got all the achievements, I loved it! Absolutely worth the price. If the ending was a little less grindy, the pacing would have been perfect! Some negatives (If I had to give some): - The early game was much more fun and interesting than the mid game and late. If I had to choose between 5h of good pace and 2h and amazing pace, I would prefer the later. - The mini'ohs equipment doesn't feel impactful enough, only the end combo one (the devil one) is (and maybe the merchant hat and some others). What I mean is that I didn't feel like it was worth it trying to get a special combo. Maybe there is but I think I should have been able to be like "man this mini'ohs is so good" when all I felt like was that some where a little bit better. Maybe less equipment and more impact and interesting combo would have been better? (The pre made combo bonus felt like it was preventing myself from trying out myself combo, wish I did ignore it now looking back) - I do wish that it was a bit more idle and maybe less fast paced, so that I could have more appreciate having them dig for me. The mid/late game is a bit too much proactive to my taste.
It's fine. I did not enjoy the core gameplay loop much, but progressing and pace aren't too bad. My playtime is so high because I kept the game minimized and did a run in between work tasks. You can win the game without unlocking everything, which is nice, especially since there's no achievement tied to unlocking everything, so there's no post-game grind necessary. It wasn't boring or bad, but I also did not feel particularly whelmed by the experience either.
I really enjoyed Hole is Mine. 100% completed it in about 6 hours and then messed with the infinite mode for a bit. Bought the supporter pack too because it was inexpensive and I can tell a lot of love was put into this game. Would love to see more content updates in the future such as new caves, events, equipment, skill trees, etc. But even if there is no more content added I can safely say it was very worth the price and I highly recommend picking it up if you enjoy these kinds of incremental games.
You start out alone jumping into a hole to break blocks and mine resources. Its slow and tedious at first but you quickly unlock your first minion that helps you with mining. You will find more and more minions and eventually have an army. There are Equipment drops that you can put on your minions. Each minion can have 4 different pieces so there is a solid amount of skill expression through smart synergies and satisyfing combos. The skill tree has a lot of unique unlocks that feel better than just +5 % dmg, but those are ofc also present. The controls are a bit frustrating at times however. To use an item you left click, to throw a consumable or a minion you also left click. This means you lack precision when everything is clumped together sometimes which hopefully they figure out a solution for in the future. Its not a big deal however, just annoying sometimes. Overall the game is clearly made with a lot of love and is well polished. I had 0 bugs, crashes or fps drops so far and the animations + art style has charmed me. For 7 € its a no brainer to recommend
