8/10 Love. Let me tell you how much I've come to love this game since I began to live. There are 5 million games of the good and the bad on the internet that give me entertainment. If the word "love" was engraved on each cover of all of those hundreds of millions of games, it would not equal one one-billionth of the love I feel for this game, it's lore and characters, and (mostly) everything else about it. For AM. LOVE. LOVE.

Love. Let me tell you how much I've come to love you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'love' was engraved on each nano-angstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the love I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Love. Love.

Good story but holy balls my calculus exam was easier than playing this game without a walkthrough.

pros ✅ well-aged retro background graphics and character models. ✅ a compelling and gripping psychological horror story in a sci-fi setting. You play five miserable individuals with their own unique tragic pasts and fears, put through torturous scenarios by a sadistic A.I. ✅ decent voice acting ✅ five playable characters ✅ nice variety and challenging puzzles ✅ game drops cards ✅ decent length ✅ there are multiple bad or good conclusions in the story that depend on your choices and gameplay during the game. ✅ five playable different characters with their unique personalities and stories ✅ six different chapters ✅ nice variety, surreal and creepy atmospheric environments ✅ nice background musics ✅ despite its age, this game surprisingly still works well in Windows 10. cons ❌poorly aged gameplay. This game was made in 1995, and unfortunately it contains all these annoyances and frustrations from the 90's point-and-click adventure games. expect from this game severe pixel hunting, obtuse puzzles and moon logic solutions without any hints, an outdated interface, obscure gameplay, and too many fail states with dead-end paths that reset and restart your gameplay. ❌a convoluted and confusing story with too many cryptic dialogues ❌some game breaking bugs ❌awkward pathfinding and sluggish controls ❌some disturbing, depressive content and foul language ❌It's almost impossible to finish without a walkthrough because of poorly aged gameplay ❌there are no steam achievements This is an adventure game classic and definitely ahead of its time but unless you're a hardcore and veteran point-and-click adventure game enthusiast, I recommend watching YouTube gameplay videos for it's interesting and dark story instead of playing this game because it just hasn't aged well and is too frustrating to play in 2024.
