An incredible proof of concept with an effective cliff hanger to launch a full length title. The music is top notch, I really like the mood set by the battle music, which is slower and focused compared to the upbeat music that accompanies adventuring. This is a great game to get on sale. It is on the short side, but I don't see that as a negative really. This 8-10 hour experience is more than worth while and does appear to intentionally point towards a follow up, which I'd really like to see. If such a game were to come to fruition, I'd like to see subclasses with more choice in the level up system. Other than a couple hardware combos, there's not much you can do in the way of leaning into one or another skill set, and I found that the natural level progression made physical attacks irrelevant fairly quickly. Over all, a solid play,

I don't understand why this game isn't rated higher, like overwhelmingly positive. It was just so consistently satisfying, right from the start. Main character looks energetic when moving, other characters have bouncing animations even when standing in place? Love it. Noir city where it always rains, lit by neon lights? Hell yeah. Banging soundtrack, satisfying sounds for both effective and less effective attacks? Yes yes yes. It's just a super polished love letter to cyberpunk genre, obviously inspired by works like the Neuromancer (you definitely don't need to have read it to enjoy the game, either - but some in-game terms like decks and ICE are pretty clear references that add nicely to the experience).

Very nice retro game, with awesome pixel graphics, and a great story line. Very enjoyable game.

Not a strong recommend. It's very linear, and expects the player to do a little grinding. I think the game really expects you to buy ALL the software, and near endgame, lean on the swap mechanic to load them. I was, by the end, quite glad to have the option to turn off random combat. Final boss was somewhat interesting, but... the combat was nothing much. It's pretty, it's fun, there's some minor plot holes towards the end... honestly, most of the plot just didn't need to happen. But if they did a sequel, I'd be curious. Especially since the one area they actually knocked it out of the park was the dialog with minor characters. Your character is acquainted with her neighbors. That really helps things come alive. And having the action prompt indicate when a conversation will repeat is kinda great.

Despite it being a short experience, I really enjoyed a lot of aspects to this one: the style, the technical jargon in the whole game from dialogue to abilities, and some of the flexibility with some of the combat options. I was 6 hours in when I realized we might be nearing the end, and it did end, so I hope developers continue to make some cool projects, thank you.
