In short: Nice take on classic Slay the Spire formula. Recommended. It is more narrative focused game than StS, every move is commented and contributes to the plot. It is different for each character. Map is pre-determined but every enemy/event can have different options and outcomes for each character. Story is good and fragmented. You need to play all the characters several times to reveal the whole plot. There are three main characters and each has several unlockable subclasses. Each of those has different playstyles. Unlocking mechanics looked like a drawback for me as it forces you to play a character you do not like. For me it become an advantage as the class I liked the least became my favourite character after a couple of runs. Inventory/card system is a mix between StS and regular RPGs: there are armours, helmets, shields, boots, rings, amulets, weapons, potions that go in their respective slots. Some cards are linked to your equipment. You can buy, sell equip and unequip stuff. The art style is gorgeous. Aestetics-wise it is the best game I've played in a couple of years. Replayability is good. Every character has its own interaction with non-randomized map and variety of possible routes is pretty large. Drops are random so the build is more defined by the run than initial intent, ie this part is just like it is in StS. Overal it is a good game and totally worth a full price.

This game is awesome, it combines a pretty neat story, great deck building and a solid way to get specific builds to work via the routes. It's an extremely underrated game but i think it's up there with slay the spire, maybe not as complex but it has way more elements to the game that make it great!

The rules of this card game are almost identical to Slay the Spire, with the major conceit being that the every time you lose, your character retains memory of past choices, which you can then plan for. The map is the same aside from RNG and for the most part you uncover what’s going on by the choices you make. And that’s literally the only difference between this game and Slay the Spire (obviously some cards do different things, but the rules are identical) Obviously having to replay the same story over and over again should be a concern, because it isn’t for everyone, but I actually liked that it encouraged me to build different decks to hit certain story beats Also it’s currently being review bombed for suspicion of bot reviews or something, and while voicing meta concerns through a review is generally a positive thing to me I am partly giving a positive because I see people polluting comments with radically wrong information, which I think is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you have a problem with a dev call out the dev, don’t make unsubstantiated claims or lie about playing the game because that isn’t review bombing, it’s just lying

As of July 2025, the devs really need to spend two to three months just focusing on polishing this great game. The UI needs to be cleaner, more consistent, more responsive and more informative. The ending slides need to not reference things you've never seen or been a part of, especially when they imply you played a big hand in how the event turned out. They especially need to not be blatantly contradictory. The little conversations after almost every single node need to move so much faster than they do. All that said, this is a great rogue-lite deck builder, where the meta-progression is baked into the event nodes on the (mostly statics) maps of the four biomes. Learning information on one run can change your options and open up new items in the same or different nodes in future runs. Each of the three characters have four variants that can be leveled, and so far they all play very differently. Naturally they all have their own card pools, but the gear you pick, while named the same, arent always the same between characters or even variants of the same character. Maybe an amulet gives +1 energy (action) for the first character, but gives +1 draw if found by the second character. These changes mostly seem to actually be tailored to the characters mechanics and play styles, not just change for change sake. I have about 35 hours logged, and am expecting to put in at least another 60. The developers doing another polish pass would likely have me at 200 hours.

Solid game. Easy 8/10. TL;DR: I would suggest starting with the challenge mode first. It plays more like Slay the Spire + you unlock items, cards, and stat boosts for your character that also applies to the main campaign. My main issue with the game is that the main campaign feels like it should have been an RPG similar to Roadwarden but with deck building. It's just too bloated to mesh well with the rogue aspects. If you like deck builders with more story like Griftlands, then this game is for you. Good balancing, interesting builds, great items, tons of run variety, the list goes on. However, the main campaign has a focus on exploration and trial and error. This runs completely counter to pathing and, most importantly, how long a run takes to complete. Pathing to the final boss and doing a certain requirement is easy enough, but that's not all there is to this game. Many events have a ton of outcomes that require multiple interactions in the event or with other events before you can unlock new outcomes. Given that a run takes one hour, you would need to spend countless hours to fully explore just one of the events. Makes sense that the wiki really isn't fleshed out, it's a daunting task after all. Despite this bloat, the game has a "challenge" mode which honesty feels like Slay the Spire. A run takes half the time to complete, there is meta-progression that also impacts the main campaign, and you'll feel like you're actually making choices when pathing instead of going somewhere just to explore it. 100% give this a shot.
