WHAT AN AMAZING GAME! I had an absolute blast playing it! The mix of Silent Hill and Twin Peaks vibes is incredible I loved every moment of it. The puzzles were super fun and kept me hooked the whole time. I honestly wish there was even more to play. I’m extremely excited for the full game!

What an absolute gem. Lake Haven - Chrysalis has a run-time reflective of its nature as a prologue, but that doesn't prevent it from presenting an astounding experience that absolutely does its job in leaving you with just enough intrigue to hook you and have you longing for more. This taster of a title is brimming with a solid display of retro survival horror puzzling and vibes that will delight fans of any titles within the genre bearing less-grounded elements of the potentially paranormal and borderline surreal. I don't remember how I stumbled onto this game initially, but I could not be happier that I had, and having finally played it, I am already sold on the eventual follow-up; I will be patiently awaiting that day and wishing the devs well the whole way.

TL; DR teaser to a Twin Peaks -inspired survival horror title. Lake Haven – Chrysalis is about a detective and the mission person case that changed the trajectory of his life. This is a teaser, a prologue, a demo, whatever you prefer for a game that is not out, it is literally an hour or so, therefore it is pointless to discuss the story any further. Chrysalis is great for what it is, it has tons of atmosphere, (fixed) camerawork used correctly, and it makes me excited for what is to come. This game with its PS1-graphics, disturbing soundscape, perspective-limiting camera angles, is legitimately pretty creepy, it made me stop in my tracks, because I got chills, so how could I not be excited for the butterfly that they are making?
