My only criticism........ remove the vegetation, or just remove collision with it. Fantastic game, amazing experience. But dear god, the collision with the vegetation is just beyond unbearable sometimes. Even slowing you down once contact is made. Don't really understand the decision here but beyond that - utterly impactful of an experience. I even 100% the achievements out of my love for this. (If any further development is made, whether for a sequel or different project, please keep in mind the collision with structures and floor debris)
The creator of this game is a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I say that with affection! 😅 They throw horror sound effects at you that fill you with anxiety and tension from the very first minute… and then you realize the game is actually whimsical and relaxing. The tension in the first levels lasts just long enough for you to understand that the only real horror here is the anxiety of not knowing what’s lurking in the dark. In my opinion, from an artistic direction standpoint, it was actually a mistake to try to make the game feel like horror through the sound design and the menu style. Once you understand what kind of experience the game really is, it becomes clear that those spooky elements don’t match its true nature, which is instead wonderful, whimsical, and fascinating. It would have worked better if it had leaned into the game’s magical and relaxing soul, which is already there. Despite this, it’s still a beautiful experience that absolutely deserves a positive review.
