This is one of the most unique RTS games I've ever played. It almost feels more like an auto-battler idle game in some sense, rather than your traditional, base building RTS. You don't have direct control of your units, instead you draw lines (hence the apt title) to where you want your units to go. If units matching the filters on the lines you draw are within a certain range of the line, they will follow that line. If there are two lines near each other the units naturally split and balance choosing which line to follow. Simply put, you build a barracks, it auto produces infantry, you draw a line from the barracks to where you want your guys to go, and they go there. They can either 'attack enemies and capture territory' or 'just move'. Capturing territory gives you income, as it's an area control game. The raw, almost clunky design here for issuing commands via lines actually works really nicely once you understand the nuance of it all. Sometimes you can just plan out your attack lines and defensive lines, then just sit back and let the game run. Instead of microing units around, you're trying to find ways to get behind enemy lines and gain footholds in their territory. It's almost like a race to try to gain as much territory control as you can. Then you'll see an enemy trying to take your territories and you draw more lines for defense. If you're clever enough you'll find nice chokepoints to line with artillery and sit back to watch your enemy burn through units as you gather enough for a counter attack. Tanks, planes, and boats all use a lot of energy though, so you'll need to claim and protect oil fields scattered throughout the map for the best power generation. Cities, towns, and industrial areas are useful to claim as well as they give bonus income. The random map generator is excellent and each map feels very different to play. The AI gets pretty predicable and beatable after a while, but when starting out you can give yourself a handicap and give the AI less income, just to make it feel fair. You will lose hard on your first few games, but you'll get better. This really is a different style of game, so expect to be confused as to how to get a transport plane to drop commandos, or get your planes to land on your aircraft carrier. It's all very doable but maybe not super intuitive. I really hope they add some kind of campaign, because this game would be super fun to conquer a relatively static fortified enemy, rather than just always replaying against the same AI in skirmish mode. Also this game would be great with more population for multiplayer as I've only had the rare opportunity to play a few games.

The game focuses more on Macro instead of Micro, which I think works really well. Seems deceptively easy, but there are a lot of nuances in how you should play. The in game video tutorials are short and concise, rarely longer than 20-30 seconds, but are super helpful to learn strategies and tactics in addition to basic game mechanics. It does seem like it would play better online vs other humans (which I haven't tried) but the AI is competent enough and you can add handicaps to make it easier or harder on yourself or the AI. I find myself liking the game more as I play it more. Great alternate take on a RTS, especially if you prefer macro to micro.

Ok basis but lacks: - Save system - Speed buttons (for when things feel too slow and you'd like to speed the match up, mainly thinking single-player here) - Even the pause button is finicky, you can't read most tooltips while it's on and I didn't find a dedicated pause button so it's click this and see how long until something happens and it unpauses, then repeat it again The basis is there for a ONLINE COMPETITIVE game, but as a solo-dev he sadly doesn't have the resources to market and promote this so it would have critical mass of players to gain traction. I like the unit types, map generation, order issuing (it has good keybindings) and pace of the game which feels slower than a lot of RTS games which I find too erratic to play comfortably. But- like mentioned before it is VERY uncertain if the dev ever has resources to finish the game- and even then- if the game will have a critical mass of players to take off since it's tailored for online play. The basis is there- just wish the dev made this in collaboration with other professionals and enthusiastic developers of which I'm sure there are many. (I refunded due to lack of the single-player features mentioned at start)

fun game but honestly for what it is it should have kept its original price tag. i am however loving every second of it and do recommend it for those that like simple RTS games

I'm leaving a review because I picked it up on sale and it doesn't have a very active player base but it gets consistent updates and has massive potential. It's not intuitive at first but it's fun to get the hang of! It feels like the RTS I've been looking for because you can reasonably control a large army and maintain all the factories and your economy without micromanaging due to helpful automation. You don't have to spam units, just select which units to produce and start/stop production for factories to save resources. You don't have to sort swarms of troops just define routes and points worth attacking/defending for each type of troop. The economy is cool because it's more similar to how war resources would be distributed and it removes the frustration of running out of gas in the middle of a field in other games. Idk man this game is just sick and you can tell it was made with love, there's even sandbox mode and a matchmaking that lets you re-queue with your last match. I'll update this when I've played more but I just want to convince others that are thinking about it to go for it because this game deserves a bigger player base. It's like if rusted warfare got a massive overhaul from someone who actually likes and plays these games. I feel the only thing hurting this game are the video tutorials, you have to play around a bit to get it but I queued up for matchmaking and some random guy gave me some tips and was very nice and helpful even though we obviously lost.
