i'm not exactly sure how necessary this was, since the original 2017 release still looks great and this new edition looks nearly identical. it would have been nice if the game changed some bigger things, like making the lighter not just project a perfect circle on the ground and instead play with the environment better, or implementing full dualsense haptics rather than just keeping the original rumble. if you got this with LN3, this may be the version you go back to from now on, but if you already have the original just play that instead! also: why does the game need to check for downloadable content in a re-release that already contains all the content?

I hadn't touched a platformer in years prior to purchasing Little Nightmares, and I'm pleased to report it successfully rekindled a forgotten affection for the genre; I cannot praise its blend of suspense and horror enough, nor the puzzles which were clever and felt genuinely rewarding to solve. I was also able to finish the game in just under 4 hours! This brevity was perhaps its greatest strength as every moment felt deliberate—there was no padding, no unnecessary levels, or wasted mechanics, instead just a tightly woven, immersive experience from start to finish.

Way better reflections and darker shadows with ray tracing make the game look a lot creepier. I’m not sure why the recommended GPU is an RTX 2070 I had 144 FPS the entire time on Ultra, just like on the original. You definitely do not need anything close to an RTX 2070 to play on the highest settings at high FPS. Anyone who owns Little Nightmares 1 will also get this for free and their DLCs will transfer over but they can't play it until October 10th unless they buy Little Nightmares 3 right now same with the DLCs even if you own them they dont unlock until October 10th. So anyone saying it's a bug it's not they just aren't available right now in this version

Those who pre-purchased Little Nightmares 3 got access to this enhanced edition early, which as a fan of 1 and 2 was an easy purchase for me. It is great to see Six again, and they did a wonderful job of polishing her up, alongside the rest of the graphics. Even after all these years that eerie music with the child-like humming is such a beautiful and iconic melody. I will never get tired of this game.
