First off, I should start by saying that this game is absolute nonsense. That being said, I had a lot of fun with it in the short time it took me to complete. Thats probably what I liked about it the most. It was extremely respectful of my time, the pacing was spot on, the puzzles were moderately difficult, not too much walking around aimlessly, and the writing was really funny. Definitely mascot-esque environmental storytelling but i'm all for it. I think it could work good as a franchise, but with the ending being pretty definitive, I don't mind just one and done. Would definitely play something else by this team. I got it on sale, but for ten bucks, still worth it all the same. 7 out of 10. I wish some story parts were a little more straight forward, and for the most part it was pretty basic and not extremely intricate(Definitely a more indie feeling kind of game). The creators have potential to become more, with this seeming like one of those games you just make to gain more experience making games, but besides the basic "good guy on the quest to stop the bad guy" structure, the rest of the story elements really made no sense at all. (and i dont know if i missed it from not reading EVERY folio piece, but I'd really like to know the memo that was misinterpreted that sentient corn was the result instead). anyways, cheerio. nice one mate. (if you play, try really hard not to press 'Q' too much)

This is single-handedly the greatest piece of media/game/poetry I have ever had the absolute pleasure of experiencing. The Corn talks, the bear talks, everything talks. My rock collection was abundent and so was my whimsy. I finished the game fast enough to refund it, but I refuse to punish myself and remove my ability to boast about my steam library for however much I paid for this masterpiece, that low-low price is too small to give up for Maize. 0ne-billion/10. - Cordially, Not Ted
5-31-26 Just finished the Game Maize, and what a ride. Game was incredible. Pure magic and genius. The game pushes you a bit to keep going. And there were three places at the end of the game that made me pull my hair out.. but all the clues are there.. so I just needed to take a little longer to find the next step. Glad to know that your inventory never gets more than 6-7 items.. but the game was well designed and kept players in mind as not to let them quit before finishing. GG
