Beyond the cute that meets the eye, you find dark themes, adventure, good humor, life lessons anypone could benefit from learning / being reminded of, emotion, and lots of surprisingly good music! Kind of like the pony show! :D It's really 2 games in 1: 1. Mane Story (Visual novel) 2. Filly Fiasco (Point and click adventure) Both have minigames and some RPG elements. Mane Story is short and intended to be played a few times over. There are enough choices and good music to keep you entertained for a few playthroughs, though gameplay does start to get repetitive. Still, the 3 unique and well done endings make any repetition totally worth it! Filly Fiasco is the real highlight here! The puzzles are satisfying to solve (use of brain required), and I like the emphasis on self-improvement - leveling your horse, and also learning things yourself! Minigames are a bit hit or miss, and I despise how you're supposed to find two items via pixelhunting, with zero hint this is what you're supposed to be doing, let alone where to look main island exterior (daytime) and inside one of the houses , but now that you've read the spoiler, at least (You) won't have to go insane over these things for 6 hours (yes, really) like me :D Despite the paragraph above, I really like it! A good continuation of the Mane Story with more cute pones, good humor, and some new music! As the puzzle solutions are randomized each playthrough, there is even some replay value! I very much enjoyed trying to complete it in as few in-game days as possible. Managed 13 (10 doable?). Post your result in the comments, too! :D Otherwise I've seen some complaints about UI, and though it wouldn't win any beauty contests, I very much appreciate how instantly everything responds to your clicks! No waiting around for unnecessary animations here :) Gotta bring up the socks, though! Remove socks! >:( In the end Sure, you can tell this is a project of one guy, with only so much time and budget on hoof, but it's also one made with endless passion and love for mares <3 Definitely check this out if you're into ponies at all! Even if gameplay isn't of your preferred genres, you're sure to appreciate the poniponi ^:D
Found this game when I was going through the steam point shop and wanted to know more about it so I went to it's store page from there. The game promised a short story and it wasn't that expensive so I figured I'd give it a shot and see how it goes It took awhile to get used to the weird cursor that you use in the game as it's off center from where you'd expect the actual click to be but that was a minor issue. The game was indeed a short story as was promised but it wasn't a bad story, I thought it was actual fairly decent and had a lot of good moments in it. After beating the game the first time it plops you right back into the start again and at first I thought this was a bug or something so I stopped for a moment while going over the achievements for the game as I noticed I had gotten "the good ending" which tends to imply that there were other endings to get. There were indeed two more to get so I figured I'd get the 'easiest' of the bunch and aimed for the 'evil' ending. It was actually kinda funny to me at the start because of just how much of a arse your character acts in certain situations. Without spoiling anything I will say that it was a lot quicker than my first run for reasons I won't get into but I found it to be quite sad, especially the ending With all that being said, I would absolutely recommend this game if you're into short stories and don't mind being playing as a pony. If I had to wish for any changes, I would really wish that were more interactions in the world than there are currently as it's quite easy to see the few that there are in a single run which tends to lead to a lot of repeat events, even in a single run and especially in a second go around for the other endings. It would be nice if there were several more just to round things out a little bit more
